ARC Review - Fallen Heir (The Royals #4)

These Royals will ruin you.

Easton Royal has it all: looks, money, intelligence. His goal in life is to have as much fun as possible. He never thinks about the consequences because he doesn’t have to.

Until Hartley Wright appears, shaking up his easy life. She’s the one girl who’s said no, despite being attracted to him. Easton can’t figure her out and that makes her all the more irresistible.

Hartley doesn’t want him. She says he needs to grow up.

She might be right.

Rivals. Rules. Regrets. For the first time in Easton’s life, wearing a Royal crown isn’t enough. He’s about to learn that the higher you start, the harder you fall.

Book Breakdown

I am so happy to have an ARC of this novel! Though it doesn't change my review as I am always honest in them.

Easton just wants to have fun his senior year and that means hooking up with his hot young teacher. Though that action sets him down a path he would never have guessed. Then he meets Hartley... things go from bad to worse in his life and he has no one to blame but himself. Will he finally wise up and grow up?

Well, Easton is definitely not Reed and I found myself missing Reed so much. I'm that person that gets so attached to characters that it is hard for me to let go of them. Though I really enjoyed reading about Easton. I love reading about not likable characters as it's something that I don't see everyday. You can tell he has a good heart... you can also tell he's going to get a redemption ARC in the next book. At least, I hope he does. He deserves it.

As always, the writing is great. The authors make the characters feel like real teenagers and I like that a lot. Some YA books make them feel like adults and while I like that too, it's nice to see teenagers in a young adult book.

I love the pieces of Reed and Ella we got and wished for more so many times. I loved getting to know Hartley! She's so brave and not scared to stand up for what she believes in. Also I think it's wonderful how much she loves her sister.

I can't believe that cliff hanger though! Are the authors trying to kill us with the wait?! How will I make it till January?

I enjoyed this book, you like the first three in the series and love Easton this is for you! The book is on sale today! Get your copy ASAP and enjoy the drama-y goodness.

*SPOILERS AHEAD! Don't read anymore of this review if you don't want to spoil this wonderful book!*

Sebastian might be dead?! Well, he's probably dead. Easton might be Steve's son?! OMG he could be Ella's half freaking brother?! I can't even with that one. My mind is blown in the best way possible! What about Dylan being sent off to boarding school! I seriously need the next book now as my mind is still reeling over that last freaking chapter!

  1. I haven't even started this series...ah! Are all the books companion novels of each other? It kind of sounds like that. I'm for sure picking up the series eventually though. It reminds me of The Royals (a show on E Network).

    1. The first three need to be read in order and this is a campion of sorts but if you read this one first it would spoil LOTS of the first three. I recommend starting with Paper Princess. It's got similar elements to The Royals.
