A Quick Bite (Argeneau #1) - Review

That hot guy tied to Lissianna Argeneau's bed? He's not dessert - he's the main course!

Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that?

Dr. Gregory Hewitt recovers from the shock of waking up in a stranger's bedroom pretty quickly - once he sees a gorgeous woman about to treat him to a wild night of passion. But is it possible for the good doctor to find true love with a vampire vixen, or will he be just a good meal? That's a question Dr. Greg might be willing to sink his teeth into...if he can just get Lissianna to bite.

Book Breakdown

So, I wanted to get back to what I really love and what started my whole love of reading; vampires. I've loved vampires since I knew what they were. So I wanted to read more about them and less of books that are just... hyped. I wasn't enjoying most of the hyped books anyway. I admit, this book wasn't the best idea to get me back into reading about vampires... Nanos... I mean, props to trying to be different with your take on vampires... I guess.

So this follows Lissianna and Greg. He's been brought into her room and tired down so he can cure her of her fear of seeing blood (which he never cures fyi), and while he's tied up some of his first thoughts when he sees her is how badly he wants to fuck her. I know most men only think of sex but really? I mean really? He's tied up and has no idea what they are going to do with him and he's wanting to sleep with the girl?

Well, he's soon saved by Lissi and then brought back by her mum and then he's tied down again and he now knows they are vampires and he never really freaks out at all. He's like Bella, he just takes it within stride and moves on. Which isn't a bad thing...

They end up falling in love, I mean it's a romance, everyone knows that was coming. Their love happens though after a long and rather unnecessary plot and then Lissi is dumb as fuck because come on! The hints were huge! I knew the father was guilty the first time we see him in the damn book! I mean... I did enjoy the story for the most part, but some parts just had me laughing and rolling my eyes. I won't be continuing this series.
