50/50 Friday - Best/Worst Read in April

50/50 Friday is hosted here on this blog and over at Blue Eye Books.

What is 50/50 Friday?
Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. So that's what 50/50 Friday is all about. We will have a new topic every Friday. If you have have ideas for this meme don't be scared to let us know!

Best/Worst Read in April

God, April was pretty much a reread month for me. I reread some of my favorite series/books and the few new books that I read, I liked. So I have no bad reads for this month. Instead, I will share a few of the favorite books I reread in April.

  1. I have yet to read anything written by Sarah J. Maas, but everyone raves about how wonderful her writing is!!

    P. S. I attended the 2018 Bay Area Book Festival in Berkeley, California last weekend. I saw/heard Melissa de la Cruz speak at this book festival on Saturday, April 28th! Wow, great speaker! She had a lot of great things to discuss with those in attendance. Surprised more people weren't there to hear Melissa de la Cruz speak! I've post a link about my time @ 2018 Bay Area Book Festival... Unfortunately, I missed day two of 2018 Bay Area Book Festival, due to unforeseen circumstances. https://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2018/04/2018-bay-area-book-festival-in-downtown.html

    1. You've never read ANYTHING by SJM!? You really are missing out!

Sadly, Melissa is one of many authors that doesn't get the limelight she fully deserves.

  2. I loved that in Obsidian the mc blogged! :)

    1. Yes! That's actually the book that got me into blogging. So it really holds a special place in my heart.

  3. Congrats on not having any duff books in April!
I love the Paper Princess cover :-)

  4. I'm so glad to hear you had a great reading month in April, Carrie! It's always so great when that happens. Also, ACOMAF is beautiful. That is all.
