50/50 Friday - Best/Worst Audiobook

This meme is hosted here and over at Blue Eye Books.

What is 50/50 Friday?
Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. So that's what 50/50 Friday is all about. We will have a new topic every Friday. If you have have ideas for this meme don't be scared to let me know!

Topic for the Week
Best/Worst Audiobook

Okay, I've not gotten to listen to as may audio books as I'd like but I have gotten to hear quite a few and of those, I do my favorites and the ones that I would never want to hear again, so let's get down to it! I must say that just because I don't like something doesn't make it bad, if you like it, that's great! Keep doing you! Everyone has different tastes.

Worst Audiobook I've Listened To
Now, I liked this book when I read it and years later I decided to give it a listen.... I'm just not a fan of the narrator. Just not my cup of tea.

 Best Audiobook I've Listened To
Everyone about this one was pure perfection! I was so engrossed that I even used it at work because I could just not stop listening to it. If you're never listened to this series, give it a go!

  1. I've never listened to the Sookie Stackhouse books - Probably a good thing though. I have heard great things about the production of the other though.

    1. Yes, a good thing for sure! I wouldn't waste your time listening to them at all. The production is top notch and the narrators are amazing!

  2. I don't enjoy being read to so I have not ever listened to more than a few minutes of an audio book. I would imagine though that the reader and the production values would make all the difference.

  3. I love audiobooks!! I have too many favorites to choose a favorite or least favorite one... Otherwise I would have loved to do a post for this week's theme!!

    1. I had the same problem trying to choose my favorite as well! So I understand.

  4. I still haven't gotten into audiobooks mostly because I'm a very visual person and I find it hard to remember what's going on if I'm listening instead of reading. I also get a little freaked out that the narrator will totally ruin a perfectly lovely book for me (like you mention for your worst). Still, it's awful that I have all these opinions but have never actually listened to an audiobook so I'm hoping to listen to at least one before the year is gone!

    1. Don't pressure yourself! Audiobooks aren't for everyone and that's totally fine! Yeah, that's why I don't listen to more audiobooks because the narrator just doesn't fit in my opinion, or they change in the middle of a series and that throws me off.
