50/50 Friday - Freebie! (Best/Worst Book an Author has Published

50/50 Friday is a weekly meme hosted by myself and the wonderful Laura from Blue Eye Books.

What is 50/50 Friday?
Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read.

This month is all about the freebies! So I decided to go back and find a topic from way back in 2016. Right when this meme was just a month old. That topic is:
Best/Worst Book an Author has Published

Last time I chose Veronica Roth and I wanted to keep her but my opinion of her books has changed since then. So here we go!

Worst Book
It's been years since I read this book so I don't remember all the details but I know that I hated this book. I LOVED Divergent and still do.... the rest of the series and with the ending... I'm not a fan of bitter sweet or even sad endings. So this one wasn't for me.

Best Book
I won't say much about this because I have a huge review laid out. It's one I'm actually proud of. I will say that this book blew me away and just showed how freaking amazing of a storyteller this author really is.

  1. I still need to read the sequel to Carve the Mark.

    1. Me too! It's just sitting on my shelf shaming me every time I look at it.

  2. I've been hesitant to read Carve the Mark because I didn't really like the Divergent trilogy (mostly because of that last book), but I might just go and check it out from my library.
Also, it turned out it was something with my computer that was keeping me from viewing your blog. So it's all fixed now. Not sure what it was, but deleting my browsing history ended up fixing it.

    1. I didn't like the last book either. I only liked Divergent from that trilogy. To me, Carve the Mark is way better.
Yay! I'm so glad to hear you can view my blog again because I was trying to figure out what could be wrong but kept coming up blank. I hope your computer is fine though and no major problems for it.

    2. Computer is completely fine. It's a mystery of what the issue could have been.

    3. Guess it was just one of those weird things! Just glad everything is fine and nothing was broken!

  3. I haven't read the books but I have watched the movies.

    1. I enjoyed the first movie quite a bit but the rest.... not for me.
