Book Breakdown

Holy hot fire in hell! This book! THIS BOOK! I read the first two and liked them well enough that I kept going with the series. This one... I loved this book so much I stayed up all night to finish it! Now, if you know anything about me, I love sleep. It's one of my favorite things ever. Nothing beats sleep so if I give it up... you know it's worth it!

I don't usually like damaged heroes but Z stole my heart! He's so perfectly broken from all the crap he went through being a blood/sex slave. Bella also has a dark past but nothing like Z but her nightmare can finally end when Z saves her life from the Lessers. She tries to stay with him even when he's mean to her. But slowly, we see why he's a jerk, he just doesn't think he's good enough for her after what's been done to him.

It's so heartbreaking to see how much he dislikes himself, how unworthy he thinks he is. I just wanted to reach through the book and give the poor guy a hug! But, as with most romance novels, it has a happy ending. That's one of the reasons I love romance. In my life, happy endings are few and very far between, so to find them in books just makes me feel better.

So now, I'm fully invested in this series, which is good as it's loooooong! But if I can get more books like this one, I'll devour this whole series soon!
