Review - Autumn in the City of Angels

What would you do if you lived through the apocalypse? The real fight to survive comes after everyone else is gone.

A plague of epic proportion sweeps the globe, leaving less than one percent of the world’s population immune. Among the living is Autumn Winters, the teenage daughter of a famous actress. When Autumn’s parents don’t come home and the city is overtaken by a dangerous faction, she goes into hiding with a small group of underground survivors. They’re led by a mysterious young man who harbors an unearthly secret, and with whom Autumn feels a deep connection.

Autumn in the City of Angels is the first novel in a series, followed by Autumn in the Dark Meadows and Autumn in the City of Lights.

Book Breakdown

I received this book from the authors in exchange for an honest review.

This book wasted no time before jumping right into the action! I do have a love/hate relationship with one part in the book. When everything goes to hell, Autumn kind of stalls out. Like any of us would do in this kind of situation so it was very realistic but where she did take a while to embrace it and step up it got kind of boring. Though I'm glad an author or in this case the authors decided to make her real and not someone who just jumped and went for it. See love/hate.

I love Autumn as a character! I could totally see us being friends and that is something I always look for in a book, relatable main characters and this book has them! The side characters are great and the feel of the book is wonderful. It's a great dystopian read and then the huge plot twist comes along and changes everything! I first want to say that I totally did not see that plot twist coming! I usually do see them coming or have a general idea of what will happen but not in Autumn in the City of Angels. It blew me away! I will say that this plot twist may turn off some readers but I loved it. It was pretty freaking epic! So my recommendation is to give this book a try. It's worth it!

Favorite Quotes

1) "I used to be Autumn Winters, daughter of an actress and an architect. I had been one of three living in this home, but now I was just Autumn Winters, and I was alone."

2) "The only bright corner of my heart, where nothing seemed to hurt, was where Grey was. When I thought of him, I could see a future where I could be happy again, where I might not be just like I was before the Crimson Fever, but at least a version of myself that felt whole."

This is just a super quick post to tell you lovely sunflowers that I just bit the bullet and got a Facebook. I would love it so much if you guys could just click the small button to your left. I hate Facebook so much there is always too much drama and stupid guys that send me weird creepy messages... do any of you get that? Anyway, I did it for my blog and I hope it works out for the best.

My Top 6 Book Boyfriends

This is some of the reason I read books, for the hot guys. I mean I read for the plot and the adventure too. But come on, the guys are amazing and wonderful! You guys understand my feelings right? I'm going to countdown from 6 to 1. I'm only going to put one character from a single author as otherwise this list would have nothing but Jennifer Armentrout characters on it.

6)  Jace

How can anyone not want a Jace? He's badass and sweet and really caring with a huge side of arrogant.

5) Daemon Black

(I was so freaking close to putting my wonderful Roth here but I don't know... Daemon just kind of happened upon the page instead.... weird)

Do I even really need to say anything about him? He's so freaking perfect.

4) Ash, The Winter Prince

He's so caring and willing to give up everything to be with his true love, isn't that not the sweetest most romantic thing ever?

3) Edward Cullen

I know most people now hate Twilight and everything but I'll always love it (books I kinda really dislike the movies #sorrynotsorry). Edward is so sweet, so old fashioned and his love is something powerful as he didn't want to live with her.

2) Morpheus

I'm not sure why, he takes crazy to a new level but I just love him!

1) Rhysand

He was mean at first then ended up saving Feyre and helping her and he was just so freaking drool worthy and just... wow. I would take him as my boyfriend in a heart beat (if of course I didn't already have my amazing man, love you baby). Seriously though they will be end game.

So who are your book boyfriends? I'd love to know, drop a comment below and tell me, I don't bite.... much.

Now I want to talk a little about why I chose these books. They each have some kind of meaning.

City of Bones - I love this series, it's one of my favorites. I've loved them back when they were only going to be a trilogy so for a long time!!

Vampire Diaries - I've talked about this before but this is the very first young adult series I read back in 2007. It started my love for reading YA.

Sapphire Blue - This one has such beautiful covers and was so entertaining I want to share that with you guys.

Blue Bloods - If you've followed me for any amount of time you'll have noticed I talk about this series a lot. It is very underrated. Hopefully this book will get you into the series and I'll finally have someone to tangible with over some of these awesome guys! Just remember though... the book is still better than the graphic novel!

Review - Oleah Chronicles: Truth

What would you do if everything you thought to be true in your life was a lie?

Sixteen-year-old Angel Seriki must face overwhelming truths about her family when she meets Zander Black, a new student to her high school who is smart, charming and devastatingly beautiful. The revelations he uncovers to her about her family's past changes everything, and as her relationship and feelings for Zander deepen, so do the risks involved. She must now accept her fate and face the true reality of who and what she is. Even if that means giving up everything, including being human.

My Thoughts/Review

*I received this book in exchange for a honest review*

Angel is just your normal average sixteen year old girl... or so she thought. Angel goes to school everyday, her parents pressure her to get good grades. Her parents even tell her not to date, just like a normal family. But when Zander shows up, normal goes out the window. Angel's life is not what she thought. She's a princess from another galaxy, blessed by God. Zander is a vampire who was sent to kill her, well to take her to the woman who would kill her, Satan's sister.

This world that Michelle Johnson has created is so vast, so amazing. The Oleah are so cool! Zander is freaking hot. I love that Angel is real, she and best friend have a fight, she gets embarrassed by her parents, she's a real teenager! She's also very strong. A girl could really look up to Angel.

The author's writing is witty, easy to understand, and again, I love how she made Angel actually feel like a real teenager, with first love and being nervous around Zander, I honestly can say that I enjoyed this book so much, it was a wonderful and powerful story of love.

Favorite Quotes

1) "Are you blushing?" Mom sounded more shocked than anything else.

"Oh my goodness, Eli, I think she actually likes him."

2) "Tsk tsk tsk. Someone has been a very bad little boy." Her voice was like that of a serpent's hiss."

3) "He opened both eyes, his mouth slowly curling into a mischievous grin as the bright red spread in his eyes. "Checking to see if I'm hungry."

Review - Enter the Realm of Flesh

"The blade seemed to cut the air itself apart. Before he could stop, he had created a strange, ineffable crack in the air. Then, an arm reached through ... and shortly afterwards, a body followed."

Michael Phoenix is just your ordinary misfit teenager. He lives in a New England small town, his father ran off a year ago, and he falls asleep in school every now and then. However, one night, Michael accidentally opens a portal to another world, and an alien creature invades his home. All he thought he knew about the world is shattered when he is plunged into a world of darkness, a world that's strange and alien—a world that once was home to him.

Michael embarks on a journey to the darkest corners of the Earth in search for purpose, home, and vengeance. He is ready to do all it takes, even if he must go to the source of his nightmares—even if he must enter the Realm of Flesh. Along the way, he gains supernatural abilities and learns to cope with loss.

A horror journey that ramps up towards a climactic showdown in the end. There's gore, twists, and violent action galore in this dark coming-of-age story. By the end of the day, each of the three main characters will have shed their fair share of blood and learned their lesson—if they live to see the end of the day.

*I received this copy in exchange for an honest review*

Michael is just like any normal teenager. Though his dad has been missing for around a year and when Lukas shows up with news that his father is actually dead - that's when things kick off. Lukas leaves Michael's father's sword. In the middle of the night Michael uses it to let a monster into our world. It kills his mother and Michael is sent to live with some very well off family members. Though he quickly decides he wants more. He knows about the monsters and wants to do something about about them. Lukas agrees to test him and see if he has what it takes. Everything really takes off from there, with old friends becoming allies and lots of freaking scary moments.

The writing style is very blunt, a hold no punches kind of thing and for this type of book it works perfectly. I found no mistakes and this story had me hiding under my blanket and leaving the lights on. Pick this up if you are a fan of horror... just make sure to leave the light on.

Favorite Quotes

1) "Don't worry," Lukas said and patted him on the back. We're basically just here to watch Old Tashal kick Immortal ass."

2) Why do you always wear those?" Michael asked.
"To tell the truth," Lukas said, "I feel weird about the way my eyes look. They're ... too small."

The Book Life Tag

This is an older tag but looked fun and I wanted to give it a shot.
If you life was a book, what would you choose? Drum roll! And now let's get to it.

Who would your parents be?
I have no idea... I really don't like too many of the parents I read about sadly. Maybe Charlie from Twilight so I could just be left alone to do my own thing.

Who would be your sister?
Bliss from Blue Bloods

Who would be your pet?.
Church from the Mortal Instruments series, he's just way too awesome.

Where would you live?
New York or Nashville. New York has my sexy Shadowhunters but Nashville has a Covenant and plus I was born around Nashville and yeah. My hometown.

Where would you go to school?
*Laughs* Everyone is going to pick Hogwarts, it's the coolest school ever.

Who would be your best friend?
Layla from The Dark Elements trilogy, she is awesome and we would totally get along.

Who would be your significant other?
Oh God, how to answer this. Can I have more than one? Like six? No? Okay... If I had to pick only one... I'd go for Aiden from the Covenant series, right now he's my favorite. But of course this always changes, if you ask me next week, I'll have a different answer.

Hope you sunflowers enjoyed this tag! What about you guys, what are your answers for some of these questions? Tell me below in the comments. Also if you want to do this tag and haven't... consider yourself tagged by me.

Indie Week!

The Book Combo Tag!

I was tagged by the wonderful Erika from Books, Stars, Writing. And Everything In Between. Thank you for tagging me! I just love doing tags, they are so much fun! Also if you guys have not checked out her blog then do it! It's awesome sauce.

1) Which two authors would you like to put their writing skills together and write a new book?

My two favorite authors of course. I don't know how well it would work out since their writing style is different but what the heck. Jennifer L Armentrout and Sarah J Maas.

2) What's your favorite author collaboration?

I hate to say this but I don't read many author collaborations but when I was younger I really enjoyed House of Night and I've recently been reading an indie book called Autumn in the City of Angels by Kirby Howell which is a pen name for Dana Melton and Jessica Alexander. It's really good so far!

3) If you could combine two completely different stories and make them a book of their own, what would it be and what would it be called?

I've been thanking about this question for days and I still don't even have a clue... Maybe... nope. Nothing comes to mind... sorry!

4) Which two worlds from two different stories would you like to see come together to make one epic world?

Maybe the Resident Evil novels with The White Rabbit Chronicles... they could all kick epic zombie ass! Errr... yeah!

5) Which duology/trilogy series would you liked to have been one book?

None! I'm always happy when I fall in love with a book and find out there is more out there! I'd never want to shorten it. That should be illegal! more books there is more to love and get totally obsessed with. Even fangirl about!

Tag! There bloggers are it! Hope you guys have fun doing this tag! I don't know all of you guys but I love your blogs and hope maybe this will break the ice. To the ones I do know, love you guys, keep being awesome!

One thing is certain: an epic battle is underway—and when it’s complete, nothing will ever be the

My Thoughts/Review

Expected Release Date: 08/04/2015

*I received my ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review*

Crystal Kingdom starts right where Ice Kissed left off. Our main character (Bryan) is wanted and on the run, hiding from those who want her. Bryn thinks she's covering herself pretty good but she finds that is not the case when an old enemy shows up. After a long talk, they decide to work together and go out to gather support and if all goes well, an army from the other tribes to fight against The Queen and her followers. Will all end well? Read the book to find out.

I've heard that there is a love triangle in this book but I didn't really see it all. At one moment I could kind of see where one could've developed but Bryn was just too much in love with Ridley. So if anyone was having issues with that, it's settled.

To me, I will say there is no real happy ending and I hated that. That's why this book is rated lower than the other two. Lovable characters die and to me some of the ones that lived didn't really get a happily ever after. On a more positive note, you do get to see some of the other characters from the past series and if you've read that series that is pretty cool. I've never read it so it made no difference to me.

This was a very entertaining book I must say, lots of twists and then never knowing of the character you love is going to die sure keeps you on the edge of your seat! If you're looking for a thrill ride with some cool twists and likable characters then get this book, just seriously, be warned, don't get too attached to anyone.

Favorite Quotes

1) “So, what do you say, white rabbit?” Konstantin Black asked.

2) “Trust and love can be very dangerous things,” he said finally.

What is your favorite movie? - Suggested by A Kernel of Nonsense

I don't really have one favorite movie, I have a whole bunch. There is one movie though that I can watch over and over... it's an old movie. A retelling of Cinderella. It's called Ever After. I just melt every time I watch this movie.

With the sudden death of her loving father, Danielle is made a servant by her new stepmother. She also has two new stepsisters, one quite kind but the other one really horrid. Still, Danielle grows up to be a happy and strong-willed young lady, and one day her path crosses that of handsome Prince Henry, who has troubles of his own at home. Luckily the nice Leonardo Da Vinci is on hand to help all round.

So what is your favorite movie sunflowers? Let me know below.

Thursday's Discussion

This is something I've decided to do for fun. Thursday's I'm going to discuss a new topic. Every week, I'm going to let you, my wonderful sunflowers chose the topic. Anything you want to talk about just post in below in the comments. If you just want to ask questions or talk about a book, whatever, anything goes!

I'm going to start off this with the YA book/series that got me into reading YA. I read them in the summer of 2007 and I was in love with them. I read them back when there was only 4 books out. I remember getting this edition and then sometime later that year I got the other one, with the blonde girl on the cover.  I fell in love with Damon. I will say that these aren't the best around and reading them now I see that they aren't as great as I thought but to a young girl who had only ever read middle grade or school rated books this was like finding the Holy Grail or something. So buttercups (I call you guys lots of flowery names...), what was the first YA book you ever read? I'm going to guess that Twilight is what got most of you into reading but still, I'd love to see your answers and the stories as to why you picked up that first book to begin with.

And one broken slayer will learn that sometimes, the line between hate and attraction is blurred…and the road to redemption isn't through revenge, but in letting go of the past and grabbing hold of the future.

Side Note: That cover is just freaking epic! I love it. The best one yet in my opinion.

Review - Throne of Glass

After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.

Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king's council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she'll serve the kingdom for three years and then be granted her freedom.

Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she's bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it's the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

Our story starts with Celaena being brought before the two guys who will grow to love her. It's easy to tell from the back of the book. The prince gives her the deal of a lifetime - a chance at freedom. She just has to win the competition and serve the king as his champion for four years. The idea, the thought of not having to die in those mines she was sentenced to a year ago, is enough to sway her mind and she agrees.

She's taken to the castle where she will train and pass the tests, hoping to make it to the final duel. But dark and sinister things begin to happen, magical things. In a land where magic is outlawed. When others in the competition start dying, she knows something is wrong. Then when the very first Queen of Adarlan shows herself to our assassin and tells her that she has to save the kingdom, Celaena knows it's something bigger than she thought.

With the help of those close to her, will she be able to save the kingdom? And with two very different and wonderful men after her heart... what is an assassin to do?

This book was so amazing! I think I finally have a second author (no one though can still though Jennifer Armentrout). I always love Sarah's characters, they are strong and different. I also love how she didn't make Celaena some frilly girl who could only think about the boys. She kept her wits and her head on straight. I actually really love this love triangle, what makes it so hard is after reading this book, I don't know which one I like more! Dorian or Chaol? They are both so awesome and worthy of her love.

I have noticed something about Sarah's book though, they start off slowly, guess with all that world building and such. They are so worth it though, amazing. The world building in her books is some of the best I've ever seen. Read this book, I can personally promise that after you finish it, you'll thank me. If you have already read the book, what did you think? Did you love as much as me?

Favorite Quotes

1) “Libraries were full of ideas–perhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons.”

2) “You could rattle the stars," she whispered. "You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That’s what scares you most.”

3) “No. I can survive well enough on my own— if given the proper reading material.”

4) “We all bear scars,... Mine just happen to be more visible than most.”

5) “My name is Celaena Sardothien. But it makes no difference if my name's Celaena or Lillian or Bitch, because I'd still beat you, no matter what you call me.”

Sunday, July 19, 2015

This is my first ever rant, I'm not normally one to rant but this really got my blood pumping and anger raising. I was talking to someone very close to me and we started talking about books... big mistake! This person said that YA books are all immature and the characters are immature...

Like how? What gets me the most is this person has only ever read Harry Potter.... and sometimes those are considered juvenile/middle grade!

I just hate when people judge something that they've never read, it makes no sense to me at all. Plus, I've read a lot of YA, it's mostly what I read and yes, some of the books are immature but not every single one! There is a lot of mature YA out there. Jennifer L Armentrout writes some pretty much mature YA.

Sorry, I hate ranting but this just rubs me the wrong way! Have you ever encountered anything like this before? If so tell me in the comments or even just tell me how wrong you think this too.

Review - Fragile Eternity (Wicked Lovely #3)

Title: Fragile Eternity
Author: Melissa Marr
Series: Wicked Lovely
Number in Series: 3
Page Count: 389
Format: Hardcover
Published: April 21, 2009
Publisher: Bowen Press

Seth never expected he would want to settle down with anyone - but that was before Aislinn. She is everything he'd ever dreamed of, and he wants to be with her forever. Forever takes on new meaning, though, when your girlfriend is an immortal faery queen.

Aislinn never expected to rule the very creatures who'd always terrified her - but that was before Keenan. He stole her mortality to make her a monarch, and now she faces challenges and enticements beyond any she'd ever imagined.

In Melissa Marr's third mesmerizing tale of Faerie, Seth and Aislinn struggle to stay true to themselves and each other in a milieu of shadowy rules and shifting allegiances, where old friends become new enemies and one wrong move could plunge the Earth into chaos.

My Review

*Spoiler Alert*

Where to start? I loved the first book of this series, it had all my favorite things. Action, hot alternative guys, sweet romance, and a strong female. Donia not Ash. This book though... what was the plot? Seth getting turned in a faery? That's pretty much all that happened. There was lots of lust and people wanting someone they couldn't have. It was a book of nothing but talking! The only cool things that happened was Niall punched Keenan and Donia stabbed Ash! That's it. Not even kidding everything else was talk and someone wanting someone else.

What happened to plot from the first two? They were great and this.... I honestly would've quit reading if not for my mad love of Seth. Even when he got his wish to be faery, that was too easy. Northing to prove himself just a simple talk and bam, insta-faery. I just ugh! I want to scream from the top of my lungs, why!?

All the characters we have grown to love are still here but just.... boring. No one even had a true character arc, they all stayed the same except Seth. Then the way Ash so easily gives into Keenan when Seth is gone for a while (6 months), I want to smack her. I needed to stop before I have a heart attack from how truly upset I am. I'd give this book a huge F and no stars but I just love Seth and this world so much that I'll give it a two and hope the other two are better. What did you think of this book?

Favorite Quotes

1) “Happiness is a choice.”

2) “Loving someone meant letting them be who they were, not caging them”

3) “Just be you-strong and honest. The rest falls into place if you do that. It always has. It always will. Remember that. No matter what happens over the . . . centuries ahead of you, remember to be honest with yourself. And if you fail, forgive yourself. You'll make mistakes. The whole world is new, and they have so many more years in the then you.”

This Week's Question
If you had the money what would your own personal library look like? What would be in it? What colors, decorations, etc would you put in it? - Suggested by The Realm of Books

Something like this but with black cherry wood and different colored furniture to match my tastes. I love the idea of the double story, the bannister at the top where you can look down at everything. I like a more old fashioned approach than the modern makings.

What about you guys? What would your dream library be? Let me know below in the comments.

The Book Fangirling Blog Award

First off, I would like to thank the wonderful Fiona from A Girl Between the Pages. This award so suits me as I'm always fangirling and driving my boyfriend and sister crazy. I just can't help it! It's alright though, I know that you amazing sunflowers understand me and for that I love you all so much! Now, I have some questions to answer!

1) What is your favorite thing about blogging?

This may sound cheesy and such but it's being able to share my thoughts, love for books and characters with others who have the same love for it. Growing up and even now as an 'adult', I still have no friends into reading... most think I'm weird for reading when there is so much other 'adult' things I could be doing. So to actually have people who I can fangirl with and talk about books we love so much or ones that we even hate and need to rant about. So yeah, it's you lovely buttercups. Thanks for every single comment.

2. Which books or series your book boyfriend/s came from?

Before I answer this question let it be known that in real life I have only one boyfriend and I'm perfectly happy with him. Now... let's go to book world, where if I'm honest with myself I maybe kind of a slut or at the very least a huge cheater. Because here in book world, I got a lot of boyfriends.

1) Roth from The Dark Elements

2) Daemon from The Lux Series

3) Jack from Blue Bloods

4) Tamlin from ACOTAR

5) Jace from The Mortal Instruments

okay, okay, I need to stop there, see what I mean though? I'm a very bad girl in book world but there are just too many perfect guys! What's a girl to do?

3) What was the craziest thing you ever did because of fangirling?

Nothing too crazy, I'm actually pretty proud of myself for that. But there was this one time... I was at the midnight showing of Twilight, having arrive around 10pm. There was so many lines already... but in front of me there was this girl, who looked at me and started laughing. I didn't understand why, I was wearing jeans and Team Edward shirt with some light make up. Then she told me that Edward was a loser and that he should've died in New Moon. Needless to say we got into a huge verbal fight over who was better until the ushers made us separate. I'm all for everyone having their own thoughts and opinion. She just went way too far, don't try to force your views on others.

4. If you were to choose one book or one series to read for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Can I choose death instead? Because this would feel like death... okay, I'm being way too dramatic but it would seriously suck. If I could only pick one series... because a series is still better than one single book. Maybe, ACOTAR, TMI, or The Covenant series because at least the last two have a lot of books in them and they are great.

5) When was the last time you had a major book hangover, and what was that book/series?

It was when The Host first came out, I bought it and read it all in one night. I felt like a zombie the next day and ended up getting bad marks on a huge test. I've never done that again... I also felt really stupid for staying up so late to read a book that turns out I didn't like at all.

1) Why did you start blogging?
2) What is your favorite book so far of 2015 and why?
3) Have you ever done anything embarrassing while fangirling?
4) What was the book that got you into reading?
5) Who is/are your book boyfriend(s)?

1) Create a post to accept your award.
2) Add the blog award button into your post and put it on the side of your blog as a widget.
3) Answer the questions I have above.
4) Nominate between 5-10 book bloggers who you think also deserve this award.
5) Come up with your own 5 questions for your nominees.
7) Link to me your post so I can see your answers.

Now for the bloggers I'm going to nominate!

Review - The Iron King (The Iron Fey #1)

Meghan Chase has a secret destiny; one she could never have imagined.

Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth - that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil, no faery creature dare face; and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

Title: The Iron King
Series: The Iron Fey

Format: Paperback

My Thoughts/Review

Meghan Chase is just like any normal teenage girl, though she is picked and/or ignored by her classmates, she has only one friend, Rob, though on her sixteenth birthday day, she finds out he is not who she thought he was. He is Puck, the Puck from the stories. He becomes her guide when her little brother Ethan is stolen. Into the Nevernever she goes and comes to find out that she isn't who she thought she was. She is the daughter of the King of the Seelie court and others will want to use her as a pawn. Along the way she meets Ash, the drool worthy Prince of Winter. And through a contract they become allies and even more.

So, this book was just epic, I found myself laughing, screaming (inside my head only), and squealing. There is lots of action as is custom from Julie Kagawa and a tiny bit of romance which I hope picks up more in the following books. I've heard a lot of people say that won't touch this book because it has fairies and they hate fairies but I love fairies and this book was amazing! It didn't start out slow and the characters felt real and were likable (not the bad guys obviously).

This was a great way to kick off a series, how could you not want to pick up the next book with that kind of cliffhanger? You're left dying to know what Ash is going to let happen to Meghan after all they've been through. Will he let his mother, The Queen of Winter use her for her own gain? I can't wait to find out!

Favorite Quotes

1) “Oh, we're playing nice now? Shall we have tea first? Brew up a nice pot of kiss-my-ass?”

2) “Touch her, and I'll freeze your testicles off and put them in a jar. Understand?”

3) “Bravo," said Grimalkin, peering down from Cold Tom's chest. "The Winter prince and Oberon's jester agreeing on something. The world must be ending.”

4) “I licked my lips and whispered, "Is this where you say you'll kill me?"
One corner of his lips curled. "If you like," he murmured, a flicker of amusement finally crossing his face. "Though it's gotten far too interesting for that.”

5) “Metallic trees. That's new. If you see any steel dryads, be sure to tell me so I can run away screaming.”

6) “Knock, knock!" he called in a high, singsong voice.
For a moment, silence. Then a thud and a crash, as if something heavy had been hurled at the door. "Go away!" snarled the voice from within.
"Ah, no. That's not how the joke goes," called Rob. "I say 'knock, knock', and you're supposed to answer with 'who's there?'"
"Fuck off!"
Nope, that's still wrong." Robbie seemed unperturbed. I, however, was horrified at Ethan's language, though I knew it wasn't him. "Here," continued Rob in an amiable voice, "I'll go through the whole thing, so you'll know how to answer next time." He cleared his throat and pounded at the door again. "Knock, knock!" he bellowed. "Who's there? Puck! Puck who? Puck, who will turn you into a squealing pig and stuff you in the oven if you don't get out of our way!" And with that, he banged the door open.”

The Creatures of the Night

Another tag! Though no one tagged me for this tag as it's older than my blog I found it through youtube on a little channel you may know: Katytastic

I love paranormal/supernatural books so much, it's my favorite to read. So when I saw this I just had to do it, because I love talking about books and things that go bump in the night.

1. Vampire
God, I have a lot of books I could name because I love vampires. So I'm going to go with the Blue Bloods series.

2. Werewolf
I don't read too many werewolf books but there one series where I actually liked them and guess what it is? Come on, think. It's an easy one. Still don't know? Well then, The Twilight Saga!
Also can I just say how beautiful the white covers are? I've always wanted to get them.

3. Zombie
This is something that most of you don't know about me but you're about to! I'm a huge Resident Evil fan and years ago they came out with novels of the books and yeah. So, for zombies I pick Resident Evil novels!

4. Ghost
Ghosts.... that is a tough one... Wait! I know! Harry Potter.

5. Witch/Warlock/Spellcaster
The Mortal Instruments series. Duh, Magnus.

6. Fairy/Fae
I love fairies, so there are so many choices but I'm going to have to go with my newest book love, ACOTAR

7. Demon

I'm going to have to go with my book boyfriend Roth for this one... So yeah... The Dark Elements!

8. Angel
This was an easy choice for me. I love these books... yet I still haven't read the final one.

9. Alien
I hate aliens... I don't know why but they just aren't my thing. The only series I ever read that has aliens and sexy ones by the way is the Lux series.

I know a lot of people hate these covers but I think they are just wonderful and I love them.

10. Superpowered human
The Young Elites!

As for who I'm tagging.... EVERYONE. Seriously, everyone who reads this must do it, I want to see all your answers and maybe find me another book to read.
