Fictional Boyfriend Tag

I actually found this tag floating around BookTube and since I love fangirling about my book boyfriends... it fits. 1) Most romantic boyfriend  Edward from Twilight. He takes the cake for this one. I mean he's totally romantic.  2) Dark and moody bad boy with a good side Daemon Black. Yeah he's moody and totally dark. 3) Paranormal boyfriend Clay. He's actually from an adult book series. Women of the Otherworld. 4) Boyfriend you want to tame Maybe Seth... yeah maybe him. 5) Boy you friend zoned Ben Parish from The 5th Wave. 6) Your soul mate Daemon Black. I want him. 7) Boyfriend you want to elope with Jack Force. From Blue Bloods. Love that series. 8) Boyfriend you'd venture anywhere with Cam from Wait for You. 9) Boyfriend you'd want to be stranded on a desert island with Captain Jack Sparrow. And before anyone freaks out because he's from movies. They actually had a junior book series about him. So yeah he's in books too. 10) Most badass boyfriend Jace Wa

Glass Sword - Chapter 1

The thrilling second book in the #1 New York Times bestselling Red Queen trilogy follows Mare Barrow on her mission to defeat the traitorous Maven. Mare Barrow’s blood is red—the color of common folk—but her Silver ability, the power to control lightning, has turned her into a weapon that the royal court tries to control. Pursued by Maven, now a vindictive king, Mare sets out to find and recruit other Red-and-Silver fighters to join in the struggle against her oppressors. But Mare finds herself on a deadly path, at risk of becoming exactly the kind of monster she is trying to defeat. Will she shatter under the weight of the lives that are the cost of rebellion? Or have treachery and betrayal hardened her forever? The electrifying next installment in the Red Queen series escalates the struggl

The Last Hours Snippets

So I thought I'd share the little snippets that Cassandra Clare released on her Tumblr about The Last Hours! I can't wait for 2017! Who else is completely excited for this?! I hope you enjoy these snippets. Synopsis for The Last Hours For as long as Lucie Herondale can remember, the Herondale family manor has adjourned the manor of the Blackthorns. It’s too bad that Tatiana Blackthorn, the matriarch of the family, has always been, as her father Will Herondale says, “mad as a mouse trapped in a teapot.” Since the day that her father Benedict murdered Tatiana’s husband, and was killed in turn by a group of Shadowhunters that included both her brothers, Tatiana has nursed a burning grudge against the London Institute and all its inhabitants, especially Will, Tessa and their children: Lucie and her brother, James. The Last Hours: James asks Cordelia for a dance James and Matthew separated, Matthew to dance with Lucie, and James to speak to his parents. Cordelia saw them glance over

First Ever Signed Book!

If any of you follow me on Twitter  and you should I post cool things like this there first. Anyway, I posted on Twitter about how I couldn't find any hardcover Queen of Shadows at any store around me. So I got the ebook one. It's why I've been delaying riding it so long. I generally dislike reading ebooks. But then when we went to Target to pick up some video my boyfriend wanted, I saw it. It was the last one one the shelf and it was signed! SIGNED. I nearly lost it right there and started fangirling but of course I refrained from doing so, I wouldn't want to embarrass my boyfriend or anything.

Results of the Lux Covers!

So last week, I asked all you guys to vote for which Lux covers you liked better. I counted the Twitter votes and the few from the poll and the winner is.... The original! Yay! I personally like them better. Though I will say that they are both pretty awful. Which is sad because the books are so good! Thanks all you lovely buttercups for voting and sharing your opinion with me.

Angelsong (Dark Angel #3)

Israel lies dying from demon poison. To save him, Alyx needs the recipe for the cure, supposedly contained within the Threads of Dark, and she needs Mayrekk’s knowledge of herbs to make it. But Mayrekk remains imprisoned in Michaelea, being punished for his hand in Alyx’s escape, and Michael himself guards the key to Mayrekk’s freedom. Even if Alyx does manage to find a way into the city, the chamber is guarded by ancient riddles and deadly traps… Can Alyx rescue Mayrekk and retrieve the Threads of Dark before Israel slips away? Book Breakdown  So for a while I was in a reading slump and after getting over it I started into this book. I was so angry! Some times life gets so busy and I don't have time to read which was awful! When I wasn't reading this book I found myself thinking about it. The point where my boyfriend k

My First Time

1) First Facebook profile pic? It was awful, I'm not going to show it. I had short black hair with dyed blood red tips and my full on goth makeup. Yes, I went through a goth phase but even now I'm still very alternative with my style. 2) Do you still talk to your first love? No way, we broke up because I found out he was going behind my back and flirting and hitting on this other girl who happened to be friends with a friend of mine who told me. Did you keep up there? So, I dumped him on our one year anniversary. What a lovely present... 3) What was your first alcoholic drink? I do not drink. I don't like it. I've only ever had the tiniest slip to be polite and as soon as my host was gone I poured it down the drain in the sink. My family has a real bad history of being alcoholics and I've seen some of my friends drunk and they acted so stupid and some even did things that really came back and bit them in the butt. One of my friends got so drunk she ended up sleeping

Review - Kalona's Fall (House of Night Novella #4)

The shadows in Kalonas past will finally come to light We will learn about the winged immortal's secret history and discover how he went from being the Goddess's Warrior and Guardian to her enemy and betrayer. Did Darkness taint Kalona as it did Neferet, or has the powerful immortal always preferred power over honor, and control over faith? This novella will be crucial to fans' understanding of Kalona, before his role in the explosive final installment of the House of Night, Redeemed. Borrowed from my local library.  Format: Hardcover Page Count: 180 Published: 07/29/2014 (my little sister's birthday) Publisher: St. Martin's Griffin Series: House of Night Book Breakdown  *SPOILERS AHEAD* So, I used to really love the House of Night novels when I was like 16 but the older I got the more the characters seemed to well stupid and immature. So After reading the first few novels I gave up. Sold the book to Half Price Books and never looked back. Until I went to the librar

No spoilers though! She grabbed Chaol's arm as they drew near the tea court. "If you walk up looking like you're going to pummel someone," she crooned, linking her elbow through his, "then he'll certainly know something is amiss. And, again, do not say anything to him. Leave the talking and the charming to me." Chaol raised his eyebrows, "So I'm just here for decoration?" "Be grateful I consider you a worthy accessory."

These are so much better than the new cover changes. So I must now ask this question, do you like the original covers? Or do you my lovely sunflowers prefer the new ones? Let me know below, I'm dying to see who agrees with me. So for a week I'm going to leave a poll on the side of my blog and you can vote via Twitter using #TeamOriginal or #TeamNew or leave a comment on my Facebook page telling me which covers you prefer. Oblivion Cover Reveal!

Experience the epic love story of Obsidian as told by its hero, Daemon Black… I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door, there was going to be trouble. Lots of it. And trouble’s the last thing I need, since I’m not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet thirteen billion light years away. Plus, if there’s one thing I know, it’s that humans can’t be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. ‘Cuz they are. But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can’t stop myself from wanting her—or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I’m the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one simple girl…she can mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy—the Arum, and I need to stay on my game. Falling for Katy—a human—won’t just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that’s one thing I’ll never let happen

Waiting on Wednesday (19)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine . The electrifying next installment in the Red Queen series escalates the struggle between the growing rebel army and the blood-segregated world they've always known—and pits Mare against the darkness that has grown in her soul. Unhaul (1)

I've never actually posted an unhaul but I thought 'why not?' So here is my first ever unhaul! Everything is in ruins. A devastating plague has decimated the population, and those who are left live in fear of catching it as the city crumbles around them. So what does Araby Worth have to live for? Nights in the Debauchery Club, beautiful dresses, glittery makeup . . . and tantalizing ways to forget it all. But in the depths of the club—in the depths of her own despair—Araby will find more than oblivion. She will find Will, the terribly handsome proprietor of the club, and Elliott, the wickedly smart aristocrat. Neither is what he seems. Both have secrets. Everyone does. And Araby may find not just something to live for, but something to fight for—no matter what it costs her.  "A scathing comic novel . . . sort of a M*A*S*H for Miami schoolteachers." —Patrick Murtha, Book 'em, Danno Developing Minds: An American Ghost Story follows a group of recent college grad

Thursday's Discussion (3)

This is going to be based on a book I read today, it got me thinking and since I still haven't read the fanfiction by Cassandra Clare yet I decided to go for this. In case you're wondering the book was called Forbidden  by  Tabitha Suzuma .  The Question for the Week  What themes are you willing to read? What themes go too far? Like drugs, incest, suicide, rape, gay rights, racism and so forth. I personally am willing to give just about anything a try. With a few major exceptions, I won't touch anything with racism because it bothers me so much. I hate that this is even a thing still! We are all people, we are the same. Period. Those narrow minded people who can't see that disgust me! But I don't mind to read about drugs. I've read some Ellen Hopkins books and they are heavy on the drug use. As a person who had been touched by the drug culture (quite a few of my family members), I relate to these books, I see the users and their lives falling apart but then I kn
