Top 8 Book Girlfriends

Okay so I've never been afraid to admit here on my blog that I'm bi and so that got me thinking, Friday, I did the feature and follow Friday and it was about book boyfriends and it really got me thinking, that's only one half of this for me. I've got just as many book girlfriends as I do boyfriends. So why should I leave them out? So on that note, here is my top 8 book girlfriends. Enjoy!  8) Eve Rosser The Morganville Vampires saga.  I have a thing for goth girls or any alternative girl. 7) Rosemarie Hathaway "Rose" Vampire Academy Who doesn't love Rose? She's so true to herself and it's something to admire and something I love about her. 6) Hermione Granger Harry Potter Series She's so smart and brave. She's not scared to stand up for what she believes in and yeah I like that. 5) Isabelle Lightwood The Mortal Instruments So I like girls in black... anyway, she's just so stunning and I like her. 4) Daenerys Targaryen A Song of Ice and

Music Monday - BlackPink

Music Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Always Me .  So I'm sure you know that I love K-Pop by now and if not... see most of my other Music Monday's as it's there. There is a new girl group from YG called BlackPink and their two new songs are super good. I've been in love with them but I'm only going to share my favorite one. I love the beat and the rap and singing is so good.  The next song I want to share is by two members of Girls' Generation. In case you don't know I had three biases in SNSD until Jessica left. Now there is only Sunny and Yuri. But in this song Yuri is here! She looks stunning and this video is just so cool!

July Wrap Up!

So I read a lot of manga last month as it was a busy month for me and manga is faster to read. Because of all the manga, I finally caught up on my Goodreads challenge and now I'm even ahead so yay! I was very behind before. This was a reread but I couldn't help it, it's been years since I had read it and I found it on my iBooks account and thought, why not? It's still as good as I remembered. This series used to be a five star read but after looking into Cassandra Clare and knowing what I know now... I can't enjoy it as much as I used to, though I still love it so much. This was also a reread as I'm gearing up to read Lady Midnight. Yes, I know I'm behind. This is one I've been wanting to read for a while as it reminded me of Anna and the French Kiss but with K-Pop and set in Korea and if you know me at all, you know I love me some good K-Pop. This was my first ever mature rated manga and it wasn't too bad... Ugh, Ugh, Ugh. OMG I love this series, on

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Review

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, a new play by Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. The play will receive its world premiere in London’s West End on July 30, 2016. It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places. Book Breakdown *SPOILER ALERT* You have been warned. Okay so first off I want to talk about all the hate this book gets. Some I do understand and some I don't. None of the character

Also, I just wanted to announce so great news, if you've been following my blog for a a few months now then you know that we've (my partner and I) have been trying to find a new place... we thought we had one in May but it was so terrible and the landlords were vile. Well, we finally found the most perfect place! It's so close to work and it's perfect for us! We have moved it but there is some stuff we still have to fix. We finally got internet back yesterday and I'm so glad. So that's why I was gone for so long but I'm back now! I can't wait to take pictures and videos t

E-Books Vs Paper Books

Now I'm sure by now that everyone knows I love paper copies of books. There is nothing better than holding a book in your hand and smelling the pages. I told myself I would never ever read an ebook but then my partner got me a kindle and an iPad and I started blogging... ebooks has become how I get ARCS (I'm too nervous to actually ask a big company for a paper ARC, my blog is just to small and I don't want the rejection). So I got a few ebooks and decided it's not so bad after all. So I got to thinking about the good and bad of both and thus, this list was born.  Paper Copies (PROS) Never needs charging. That new books smell! It's the best! You don't have to zoom in to see all the details (if you're reading manga). Reading in the shower or bath is much easier. No steam on the screen Nothing beats holding a real flesh and blood book in your hands. Touching the cover, flipping those pages. That crisp sound the pages make when you turn them. Easier to get othe

Lola and the Boy Next Door - Review

Lola Nolan is a budding costume designer, and for her, the more outrageous, sparkly, and fun the outfit, the better. And everything is pretty perfect in her life (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood. When Cricket, a gifted inventor, steps out from his twin sister's shadow and back into Lola's life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door. Book Breakdown  First, I want to say  that I read this book in less than 24 hours. It was glorious! It gave me all the feels that Anna and the French Kiss did and that itself is amazing! No second book has ever done that for me before. So this book follows Lola, she's quirky and cool. All she really wants is her fathers to like her older boyfriend (who's an ass); Max. They don't and I can't blame them at all. He's seems alright at first except the drugs part but he's bad news. I just want to smack him across his fa

Feature & Follow Friday (Audiobooks)

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me, everyone wins. The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee and Alison Can Read . So the topic for this week is audiobooks. Do you listen to adiobooks? Who are your favorite narrators? (If not an audiobook listerner - why don't you listen to audiobooks?) So I love the idea of audiobooks and I have listened to a few. I wish I could listen to more as they are just so cool! The only problem for me about audiobooks are the fact that I don't have enough time for them and even as fast as they are speeded ones (digital), they are still not fast enough for me. I'm a speed reader... so yeah.  So while I think they are completely awesome and useful! (If I had a long commute

This is Me - Review

A-SIST Anthropomorphic Sentient Individualized Servile uniT Rogan is a robot. More specifically, he is an Asist – a personalized humanoid servant that provides protection, assistance, and companionship for a lonely young woman living on her own in the city. Chloe is trying to get her big break, singing at bars and clubs all over the city at night while she pays the bills as a substitute teacher during the day. Ever since she activated him many months ago, Rogan has been her beautiful, dependable, obedient, dead-eyed security blanket. One morning she is shocked when he disobeys a direct command in an attempt to please her and his dull artificial eyes flash a hint of something new. Is this the result of the adaptive Asist servility programming or is Rogan actually thinking? Can a robot think? Can a robot feel? As Chloe struggles with these thoughts she is blindsided by the singular Niven Adams, a handsome, confident man with the voice of an angel who is everything she’s ever wanted in a
