50/50 Friday Best/Worst Book Read in March

This meme is hosted by myself and the ever so wonderful Laura from Blue Eye Books . What is 50/50 Friday?  Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. Topic for the Week Best/Worst Book Read in March  So the best book I read this month is an easy choice!  Everything Everything I read this book all in one sitting. I could not take my eyes away from it. It's a fun, fast book and the romance was so cute.  The worst book I read was actually a manga, the first in this series wasn't the best but I'm reading the third now and it's much better.  Ai Ore! Love Me! Topic for Next Week Best/Worst Conclusion to a Series

Thursday's Discussion - Rating a Book You've Never Read

So, I've seen this a lot in the past few weeks and I got to think this would be a great discussion!  Now, I want to say that I personally do not think it's right to rate a book you've never read. I mean if you've never read a book, you have no opinion on it. I mean, I'm sorry but reading a review from someone else doesn't count. You've still not read the book. Even if you've read lots of quotes... still not the whole book. You have no opinion on this book but the one you adopted from someone else. I mean we are all free to do as we please, and it's not like you're out murdering someone by rating a book you've never read or anything. Do as you want.  It just feels dishonest to me. By rating a book, it makes it look like you read it and you're giving your thoughts and views on this book. If you've not read it... see where I'm going with this?  Anyway, that's my thoughts on this topic. Let me know yours below! Have a great day li

Waiting on Wednesday

This meme used to be hosted at Breaking the Spine but I have no idea what's going on over there. Jill seemed to have vanished.  I love graphic novels and manga so of course I'm excited for this! Though I will admit, I've not read the actual books yet... I know I know. I hope to change that soon.

Top Ten Tuesday - Authors I'm DYING to Meet

This meme is hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish  So I've never met any author. When I finally got old enough to drive myself to book signings and such, we moved. No one ever came to KY. Then I had to move again a few years ago and no one ever comes to OK. I wish I had stayed in Nashville as I would have gotten to meet some authors by now.  This list is really just a list of all my favorite authors and how much I'd love to meet them. These aren't really in any order except for number 1 and 2 as they are my really favorite authors. 10) Leigh Bardugo Author of Six of Crows 9) Cassandra Clare Author of Lady Midnight 8) Maggie Stiefvater Author of The Raven Boys 7) Wendy Higgins Author of Unknown  6) A. G. Howard  Author of RoseBlood 5) Sabaa Tahir Author of An Ember in the Ashes 4) Marie Rutkoski  Author of The Winner's Kiss 3) Stephenie Meyer  Author of Twilight 2) Jennifer L Armentrout Author of White Hot Kiss 1) Sarah J Maas Author of A Court of Mist and Fury

Music Monday - Ed Sheeran

This meme is hosted over at Always Me . So I am in love with this whole album and it was hard to pick two but I chose two that I'm feeling a little more right now. Hope you enjoy and let me know if you like these songs also! Have a great week!

50/50 Friday - Book Hype

This fun new meme is hosted by the wonderful Laura from Blue Eye Books and myself. Join us each week for a new topic!  What is 50/50 Friday?  Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. Topic for the Week Novel Worth/Not Worth the Hype So book hype can really help a book as well as hurt the book. I've experienced both myself as I'm sure you guys have. So let's jump into some hyped books! Worth the Hype The novel I think is worth the most hype is a book I love so much and it's... This book is just so amazing and I've never read anything like it! No, I've never read The Night Circus and I have heard they are a lot a like.  Overhyped Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Yep. This book. I do want to say that if you like this book, that's great and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I just thought this was rubbish and

Top Ten Tuesday - Books I Read in One Sitting

This meme is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish . So this was a pretty easy list for me to make. There is so many books that I've read in one sitting. Even a few super long ones... I spent all day and night reading. I just couldn't put it down. So here is a list of ten books I read in one sitting. 10) Secret Vampire (Night World #1) 9) Everything Everything  8) The Lovely Reckless  7) Oleah Chronicles: Justice 6) Darkest Dawn  5) Forbidden  4) The Host  3) Cinder  2) Lola and the Boy Next Door 1) White Hot Kiss

Music Monday - Beauty and the Beast

This meme is hosted over at Always Me . So is there anyone else that is in love with the live action Beauty and the Beast? I loved it so much and I want to go see it again. I wish the theater wasn't so far away from where I live. I am also in love with the soundtrack. I think everyone did such a great job with their parts and I want to just curl up and listen to this soundtrack on repeat. So here is two songs that I'm loving right now.

Shadowhunter Sunday - Ep 10 - By the Light of Dawn

Plot Convince, Dot just happens to be there with a way to destroy the Soul Sword. Jace can't touch the sword! Ugh he would just activate it too. It must be talking about Sebastian.  I love how Simon is trying to talk sense into Valentine. It's cute. Oh Simon... I always feel so bad for him in every single episode. Poor guy can't catch a damn break. I'm glad everyone banned together instead of killing Clary. I also am okay with how the shape shifting ruin was used this episode. Even though I still hate it. Izzy is so kick ass even with her withdrawals. I hate how they pinned her down this season, she needs more kickass moments like this.  Speaking of Izzy... I think they are adding an asexual character in this series. Which I'm sure will make so many people happy.  Yes! Simon got to kick ass! I'm so freaking happy about this! It was so amazing to see him!  No! No! Jace activated the sword! I am glad that they didn't change the fact that he has angel blood and

Everything Everything - Problematic Book Breakdown

My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla. But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly. Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster. Book Breakdown  *SPOILER ALERT* I just want to start off my saying some people have labeled this book problematic. You have been warned . If you want to keep reading then you're my kind of people and let's get to it. I want to start off by praising the diversity in this book! Our girl Maddy is Asian and African

50/50 Friday - Best/Worst Debut Novel

This fun new meme is hosted by Laura from Blue Eye Books and myself. What is 50/50 Friday?  Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. Topic for the Week Best/Worst Novel So this has happened to everyone before. You read a debut novel and you're blown away by how good it is and then on the flip side, you read a debut novel and are very let down by it. So today, I'm going to share my favorite debut novel and the one that was a let down for me.  Best Everything Everything* This book got me out of a horrible month long reading slump. I read it all in one day and I loved every part of it. I can't believe this was a debut novel, I thought it was just fantastic.  Worst Red Queen  This to me just seemed like a lot of other novels smashed into one. I could not get into it and it felt very rushed in some places and thew world building could

Waiting on Wednesday

So the book I'm waiting on this week is.... Expected publication: April 11th 2017 This sounds like it would be a sweet romance and I love this author's writing so that combo makes this a must have!

Top Ten Tuesday - Spring TBR

This meme is hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish So I'm really bad at doing TBRs, it's why you never seen any TBR posts on my blog. I'm a mood reader, which means, I just read whatever I'm in the mood for. I've tried to actually do the whole TBR jar before and forcing myself to read a book I wasn't in the mood for, put me into a reading slump and also ended up with me never finishing the book and I even unhauled it to Half Price Books.  So instead of a full set TBR, I'm just going to name books that I want to get to soon. So join me and let me know below if any of these are on your list as well. 10) Gemina I loved the first one and have heard nothing but good things about this one. I've just not cracked it open yet.  9) Unrest  I have never read a more likely to happen in the future novel such as this. It's scary how this could really happen. I loved the first one so much and I can't wait to dive into this one. Even if the cover is pretty aw
