Music Monday - Angels of Liberty

Music Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Lauren over at  Always Me . The point of this meme is every Monday you share two of your favorite songs from the past week. So here are the songs I've been listening to this week.  Not long ago, I found this and thought I would share two songs I've been loving.

Komomo Confiserie Volume 3 - Manga Review

Komomo, in the throes of first love, doesn't understand the feelings she's having for Seto. She asks Natsu about feeling giddy, and he tells her that she's simply experiencing a head cold. But when Komomo finds out Seto's heart belongs to another, will Natsu be there to comfort her? My Thoughts This is the best volume yet! The story keeps getting better and I'm loving it so much. This one starts off with Komomo wanting to make a meal for Seto because all he ever eats is a 'cucumber sandwich' and since she has this huge crush on him, she wants him to have more. So she works on trying to figure out what she could make for him when she finds out that he has a girlfriend. It breaks her heart. It hurts her even more when she finds out that Seto and his girlfriend broke up and he's not happy anymore. So she makes a plan to get him and his girlfriend back together.  Rise gets angry at her for not telling about her heartbreak and then gets angry at her while try

50/50 Friday - First/Last Vampire Book You've Read

50/50 Friday is a weekly meme hosted by me and the wonderful Laura from  Blue Eye Books . What is 50/50 Friday? Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. So that's what 50/50 Friday is all about. We will have a new topic every Friday (something bookish of course!). If you have have ideas for this meme don't be scared to let us know! Topic for the Week First/Last ___ Book You've Read (specific genre, etc) No surprise here, I've chosen vampire books! Because I am in love with vampires. So let's just get into this because I want to talk about these books. First Vampire Book I Ever Read But I read it in this neat little bind-up that I still have today. I also don't remember how I got it but I know it was early summer and I'd just recently finished school for the year. I was 15 years old and it was the very first vampire

Komomo Confiserie Volume 2 - Review

Now that Komomo's family is bankrupt, the arranged marriage her father had planned for her is most likely void. With her future now open, Komomo decides to look for love and start dating. Natsu offers himself up to be her suitor, but will Komomo accept him? My Review  So this volume starts with Komomo going over to Rise's house and spending some time with her. While she's there, she gets to meet Rise's crush. Sadly, Rise, when nervous, gets rather mean and she's mean to her crush and it's something she wishes she could change. Komomo offers to help her with love and works on a plan. The plan works and Rise gets her date with her crush and Komomo gets to go on her first ever date with his best friend.  But nothing goes as planned and the guys only want to hurt the girls for money. Natsu shows up to save the girls and carries Komomo in his arms till she wakes up. Her offers to give her a better first date and she accepts and they have fun together. When she tries

Two Ghostly ARC Reviews

The American Southwest is home to dozens of ghost towns with fascinating histories and active spirits. This book shares the captivating spirit communications conducted by Dan Baldwin and Dwight and Rhonda Hull, using pendulums and psychic abilities to make contact with ghosts and help them pass through to the other side. ARC Review This was written wonderfully, it was easy to follow their conversations and who was talking. I loved that they gave some history about the place before they went into them. I've never heard of anyone uses a pendulum before and I really liked that touch.  I think I found the history part more interesting than the actual investigations but I'm a sucker for history and that's not saying the parts where they were making contact were boring because they weren't, at all.  Dan Baldwin is a good writer and he makes me want to go out there and try some of this with my pendulum! How cool it must be to connect with these spirits. I hope to read more fro

Top Ten Tuesday - Books I've Lost Interest in Reading

Top Ten Tuesday is now hosted over at  That Artsy Reader Girl This used to happen to me all the time. People would hype books and I went out to buy those books and then never got around to reading them because they never really appealed to me.... I just did it because I thought I had too. So this list might step on some toes but hey, everyone is different and has different tastes. So just because it doesn't interest me, doesn't mean anything. If you love these books, that's great! I'm glad for you. I just don't want to read them. 10)  Nevernight 9)  The Lightning Thief 8) The Harry Potter Series (This series I will still be reading as my partner won't stop bugging me about it) 7) Glass Sword 6) Truthwitch  5) A Darker Shade of Magic  4) Born at Midnight  3) Glitter 2) The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Dangerous Magic 1) Pivot Point

Music Monday - The Devil and the Universe

Music Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Lauren over at  Always Me . The point of this meme is every Monday you share two of your favorite songs from the past week. So here are the songs I've been listening to this week.  Did you know Folk Horror was a genre? Well, neither did I till I found this group.

Living Wicca - Review

Selling more than 200,000 copies, Living Wicca has helped countless solitary practitioners blaze their own spiritual paths. Let the wise words of Scott Cunningham guide you toward a new level of practice. Living Wicca takes a philosophical look at the questions, practices, and differences within Witchcraft. You'll learn how to create your own rituals and symbols, develop a book of shadows, and even become a high priest or priestess. Also covered in this Scott Cunningham classic are tools, magical names, initiation, the Mysteries, 120 Wiccan symbols, and the importance of secrecy in your practice.  My Thoughts As always the author writes so wonderfully simple that anyone can grasp what he's saying and that's what first pulled me into his work because he was easy for the newbie that I was to understand. Now I read his work because I enjoy it. I loved the prayers in this book and the stuff on the Sabbats.  I love what he says about the God and Goddess. My favorite part of this

50/50 Friday - Favorite/Least Favorite Family in a Book

50/50 Friday is a weekly meme hosted by me and the wonderful  Laura from Blue Eye Books . Now what is 50/50 Friday? Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. So that's what 50/50 Friday is all about. We will have a new topic every Friday (something bookish of course!). If you have have ideas for this meme don't be scared to let us know! Topic for the Week Favorite/Least Favorite Family in a Book Least Favorite  I could go with any of the houses in this series as they are all awful. I'd never want to be apart of any of them.... I mean.. insanity, incest... dying way too young...  Yeah these are my least favorites because they are crazy. Favorite  Blue's family is awesome. I want them all in my family right now.  Topic for Next Week First/Last ___ Book You've Read (specific genre, etc)

A Quick Bite (Argeneau #1) - Review

That hot guy tied to Lissianna Argeneau's bed? He's not dessert - he's the main course! Lissianna has been spending her centuries pining for Mr. Right, not just a quick snack, and this sexy guy she finds in her bed looks like he might be a candidate. But there's another, more pressing issue: her tendency to faint at the sight of blood...an especially annoying quirk for a vampire. Of course it doesn't hurt that this man has a delicious-looking neck. What kind of cold-blooded vampire woman could resist a bite of that? Dr. Gregory Hewitt recovers from the shock of waking up in a stranger's bedroom pretty quickly - once he sees a gorgeous woman about to treat him to a wild night of passion. But is it possible for the good doctor to find true love with a vampire vixen, or will he be just a good meal? That's a question Dr. Greg might be willing to sink his teeth into...if he can just get Lissianna to bite. Book Breakdown (Spoilers!) So, I wanted to get back to wha

Komomo Confiserie Volume 1 - Manga Review

As a little girl, Komomo Ninomiya delighted in picking on Natsu Azumi, the son of her family’s pastry chef. Ten years later, when the family fortune is lost and she has no place to live, Komomo encounters Natsu again in her hour of need. Now that Natsu is a master pastry chef in his own right, he’ll help Komomo—but only if she works for him at his new confiserie! Review  Komomo was a spoiled little girl. She got everything she wanted as a child, other than seeing her parents because they were working so much. She especially loved picking on the son her family's pastry chef, Natsu. One day, this father leaves and goes to France and he goes too. Her family loses their money and now she's poor and trying to find a job but can't keep anything down.  Well, guess who comes back... none other than Natsu, he's now working at his father's little cafe while he's gone. He wants to find Komomo and bully her like she did him when they were younger. That seems to be his life
