Frigid - Review

For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.  Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.  But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each

I have reached just over 100 reviews written for NetGalley. It's taken me three years but I've done it! A feel this is huge milestone in my blogging and I wanted to share some tips and tricks that can help you get that ARC!  When I first started using NetGalley... Then I changed up some stuff and I started to get the books I wanted.  First off, I have to say this, sometimes it doesn't matter if you do everything right, you will still get declined. I got a decline not long ago because they said my follower count just wasn't big enough. So if you don't get the ARC you wanted, don't sweat it. You can always buy it or get it from the library.  Let's jump into the tips shall we?  6) Fill out your profile completely! I mean list every single social media you have along with follower count. Moonlight Sins - Review

New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout delivers the unforgettable story of a woman whose new life has just begun—but may end in murder...   Julia Hughes has always played it safe until she learned a very painful lesson. Now Julia’s starting over with a job in the Louisiana bayou—and a scorching encounter with a stranger, only to discover he’s Lucian de Vincent... her new employer. The de Vincent brothers share a massive fortune and a dark reputation. Julia cares for their troubled sister, but a menacing presence in the mansion—and the ever-present temptation of Lucian—prove dangerously distracting. Lucian’s grandmother claimed de Vincent men fall in love once—and hard. Apparently, it’s Lucian’s turn. Julia’s compassionate care of his twin makes Lucian want to lay himself bare. But some secrets are better for Julia not to know. The recent “suicide” of Lucian’s father is the latest in a string of deaths on the estate. Someone is eliminating the de Vincents. And the best

Topic for the Week Favorite/Least Favorite Harry Potter Novel When I told my partner what the topic was for this week, he winced and told that was like picking a favorite batman comic. I laughed. I'm sure this is going to be hard on a lot of people as the series is so beloved. But even if one loves all of the books, there is one you love less and one you love more. That's just how it goes. So I will admit that I have only read the first four but I do have clear answers for this one. I will not be even considering The

Music Monday - Back to My Roots

This meme is hosted over at  Always Me So today, I wanted to jump back into my roots a bit. I grew up in TN. I didn't live in Nashville but only like 10 minutes away. So I was there a lot. Nashville is pretty famous for a few things, spicy chicken wings, very laid back people, and music. Not just any music but country music.  My family is very country... not redneck or hick but we Southern It took a really rude guy telling me my accent offended him to open my eyes to it. Since then, I've been running away from my roots. Pushing anything country away from me. I even changed my accent.  But recently I've been wanting to get back to some of my roots, I mean Southern food is the best. I don't even care. Nothing beats biscuits and gravy. So I wanted to share a few songs from two artists that my parents used to play all the time while I was growing up.  It took me nearly 14 years to finally see that I should never have let what the pathetic boy get to me. You can't help w

March 2018 Wrap Up! 20 Books!

I don't know what has gotten into me but I've been writing hardly any reviews. I just don't feel like it right now. I did write a few that I think are really good this month but most I didn't even bother. Also, I think I'm in a reading slump... I probably burned myself out reading all those books in January and February. I'm always stressed with starting a new job. My daughter is sick... again. Life is just attacking me really hard right now.  Anyway, you came here for the books I read, not to hear me complain. If you'd like to see whether or not I liked it, check out my Goodreads March Shelf .
