Music Monday - Love Never Dies

This meme is hosted over on the blog Always Me I've recently watched Love Never Dies and while it's nowhere near as good as The Phantom of the Opera, I still enjoyed it. So I thought I would share two of my favorite songs from the Opera. So hope you enjoy!

Everless - Review

In the kingdom of Sempera, time is currency—extracted from blood, bound to iron, and consumed to add time to one’s own lifespan. The rich aristocracy, like the Gerlings, tax the poor to the hilt, extending their own lives by centuries. No one resents the Gerlings more than Jules Ember. A decade ago, she and her father were servants at Everless, the Gerlings’ palatial estate, until a fateful accident forced them to flee in the dead of night. When Jules discovers that her father is dying, she knows that she must return to Everless to earn more time for him before she loses him forever. But going back to Everless brings more danger — and temptation—than Jules could have ever imagined. Soon she’s caught in a tangle of violent secrets and finds her heart torn between two people she thought she’d never see again.  Her decisions have the power to change her fate  — and the fate of time itself. Book Breakdown Everless follows 17 year old Jules on her journey to find herself and through losing

TV Talk - 13 Reasons Why (S2)

Well, I finished season 2 over this past weekend. Unlike the first season, I paced myself, knowing I would want to take time and think about things instead of just plowing through. This season really made me think. Instead of just feeling sorry for Hannah and thinking everyone at the school was an asshole, we see that Hannah was not as innocent as she led Clay (and us) to believe. We see that she was just like the rest of them and we get to see more about the other characters that Hannah made to look like such awful people. We get to see how Clay is still having trouble letting her go. I feel so bad for him, he loves her so much and it rips me apart to watch him suffering. Even though he did take drugs and that really rubbed me the wrong way. Moving on... Characters that I hated in the first season got better in the second season, like Courtney: I admired her for telling the truth and finally embracing who she is. She seems so much happier now that she's come and even got a girlfri

I really love doing this little series(?) so I figured why not keep going! My goal is to try and do one a week but we shall see how it goes with my new job. Now my little butterflies, let's get into it!  If you like  A Thousand Years by Christina Perry... The Darkest Star Cover Reveal & Excerpt!

I saw this on Twitter and thought I would share! Isn't the cover so pretty!?  Now read below for a snippet! Ugh, I can't wait for this book. I really can't. I need it now!  Excerpt from The Darkest Star, by Jennifer L. Armentrout If Mom ever found out I was sitting outside of Foretoken, she would kill me. Like, legit hide-my-body-in-a-deep-dark-grave kind of kill me. And my mom totally had the means to do so. When she went from Momma baking brownies in the kitchen to Colonel Sylvia Dasher, she put the fear of God and then some in me. But knowing just how much trouble I’d be in if I got caught obviously hadn’t stopped me, because here I was, sitting in Heidi’s car, applying yet another coat of lipstick with a shaky hand. Shoving the lipstick wand back into its tube, I watched fat raindrops bomb the windshield. My heart threw itself against my ribs as if it were determined to punch its way out. I couldn’t believe I was here. I’d rather be home, finding random things in my hou

Reading Wrap Up - April 2018

I read 19 books this month and made my Goodreads goal of 106 for the year. I've been busy reading for the past four months, being out of a job has really opened up my time. Though I have started a new job so my reading will probably slow down. Good thing I made my goal early!  So let's just get right to this wrap up!  Manga Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku Narumi and Hirotaka are, by all appearances, a power couple. They're young, good-looking professionals. But they have secrets from everyone but each other: They're serious geeks! Narumi is a fujoshi, and Hirotaka's a hardcore gamer. Their sweet, awkward love story started life as a webcomic before becoming a full-blown manga series by popular demand, and is about to become a major anime series! Queen's Quality Volume 3 Fumi Nishioka lives with Kyutaro Horikita and his family of "Sweepers," people who specialize in cleaning the minds of those overcome by negative energy and harmful spirits.
