50/50 Friday - Best/Worst Bookish Christmas Gift

What is 50/50 Friday? Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. So that's what 50/50 Friday is all about. I'll have a new topic every Friday. If you have have ideas for this meme don't be scared to let me know! Topic for the Week Best/Worst Bookish Christmas Gift

Music Monday - Yule Music

This meme is hosted over at Always Me So I've said it many times before but I'm Pagan and I follow the Wheel of the Year. Around Christmas time it's actually Yule or the Winter Solstice when the days start growing a little longer each day. It was a great time for the Pagans because it meant that winter would soon come to a close and they'd get out in the sun to plant crops once more. Yule was actually Saturday but I like to carry it over till Christmas. I hope you enjoyed Yule or just had a great Sunday.

Well my most materialistic character was the very reason I thought of this topic. Want to meet her? Well then here we go!

Her search for the truth brings her ever closer to Luc, the Origin at the center of it all. He’s powerful, arrogant, inhumanly beautiful, extremely dangerous…and possibly in love with her. But even as Evie falls for him, she can’t help but wonder if his attraction is to her, or to the memory of a girl who no longer exists. And all the while, a new threat looms: reports of a flu-like, fatal virus that the government insists is being spread by Luxen

I might be a country girl from the same small town of Sweetwater, Texas, as horse wrangler Roarke Frost, the girl next door who knows him like few know him, but I didn't know enough to save my heart. He's the reason why I left Sweetwater behind. But now fate proves she loves a wicked twist and sends me back to Sweetwater to pull together a Christmas festival—and I run smack into the man again, quite literally. His body is pressed to mine, his hands on my arms, and I'm melting like chocolate in the sizzling Texas sunshine. And I run. I know it’s not exactly respectable, but it works, just not for long. No matter how much I try to get tangled up in Christmas, I end up tangled up in Roarke instead—and the man has me feeling the heat of our attraction and the warmth of our past friendship. He feels like Mr. Right, but history says he’s Mr. Wrong. But if he wants a second chance, Roarke Frost is going to have to work for it. He’ll need to prove to me that this holiday

This meme is hosted over at Always Me It's that time of year! Christmas music is in the air and getting stuck in our heads! So let me add a few more to get stuck on replay!

Holiday TBR

Merry Christmas! Or if you prefer Happy Holidays. I'm actually Pagan and celebrate Yule but I just always say Merry Christmas because I don't get offended by little things like someone saying Merry Christmas. But if you do then I just want to wish you a Merry December if Happy Holidays doesn't work for you either.  So I'm trying something new this year for the entire month of December I will only being reading 'Christmasy' books. I don't normally do TBRs because I'm a mood reader and by the time I get to the TBR I no longer am in the mood to read what I set out to read. I never want to force myself to read something that doesn't sound good to me, reading is something that makes me happy and I don't want to ruin that.  So I'm hoping this TBR goes the way I plan. I'm only going to list six books because I'm obsessed with the number six. If you didn't know that now you do. My partner likes to tease me about how weird

My Big Fat Fake Wedding - Book Breakdown

He needs a wife. I need a husband. It’s just temporary… what could go wrong? I’ve always wanted the fairy tale wedding. Not for the princess perfect dress or big party, but for Papa. My grandfather. The only father figure I’ve ever known. It’s his dying wish to walk me down the aisle. Gee, no pressure. But I can grant that wish... I just have to fake being head over heels in love with Ross Andrews, my best friend's big brother whom I embarrassingly crushed on all through high school. I know it’s a terrible idea, and we’re both in over our heads. It could be the wedding of a lifetime or a total disaster. How do we make it to the altar without killing each other first? Or without falling in love for real?

Pick What I Read Next

Sounds fun right?  Here we go!

I wasn't sure I was going to do NaNo this year but the first day I did write a bit and the next several days after that my life went into overdrive but somehow writing helped me. I wrote 6,000 words in one day and then 4,000 the next day.  Then I didn't write for a few days because my mental health got bad. I had a panic attack so bad that I couldn't sleep well for two nights. It was terrible.

Praying for Rain - Review

“None of this matters, and we’re all going to die.” With only three days left until the predicted apocalypse, the small town of Franklin Springs, Georgia, has become a wasteland of abandoned cars, abandoned homes, abandoned businesses, and abandoned people. Shelter. Self-defense.” Wes Parker has survived every horrible thing this life has thrown at him with nothing more than his resourcefulness and disarming good looks. Why should the end of the world be any different? All he needs are some basic supplies, shelter, and a sucker willing to help him out, which is exactly what he finds when he returns to his hometown of Franklin Springs. As society crumbles, dangers mount, and secrets refuse to stay buried, two lost souls are thrust together in a twist of fate—one who will do anything to

The Princess Plan - ARC Review

Princes have pomp and glory—not crushes on commoners. Nothing gets the tongues of London’s high society wagging like a good scandal. And when the personal secretary of the visiting Prince Sebastian of Alucia is found murdered, it’s all anyone can talk about, including Eliza Tricklebank. Her unapologetic gossip gazette has benefited from an anonymous tip about the crime, prompting Sebastian to take an interest in playing detective—and an even greater interest in Eliza. With a trade deal on the line and mounting pressure to secure a noble bride, there’s nothing more salacious than a prince dallying with a commoner. Sebastian finds Eliza’s contrary manner as frustrating as it is seductive, but they’ll have to work together if they’re going to catch the culprit. And when things heat up behind closed doors, it’s the prince who’ll have to decide what comes first—his country or his heart. "London’s observations of gender roles are keen, and her protagonists are eminently likable

Llewellyn's Little Book of Empathy - Mini Review

Empathy is one of the most important tools you have for connecting with others. It supports the mutual exchange of love and nurturance, and it helps foster community, cooperation, belonging, and a sense of spiritual vitality. Music Monday - Dreamcatcher

This meme is hosted at Always Me Now, I'm a second generation K-Pop fan. Give me SHINee, Girls Generation, Super Junior, 4Minute, Brown Eyed Girls and U-Kiss over these new bands any day of the week. My love for K-Pop started to wane when I found out about the whole 'slave contract' stuff. Not cool. I did used to like Black Pink but their company doesn't release enough music to keep my interest and the other big groups right now... just don't do it for me. Sorry BTS fans! But Dreamcatcher is different. They are K-Rock and I love that. They are talented and the music is awesome. I hope after you listen to these two songs you just might like them too!  The top one is Korean and the bottom one is one of their Japanese songs. So there's a little bit of everything! I really do hope you enjoyed this Music Monday and I'll see you next week!

UPDATE!

I guess I'll just come out with it. I've got a few posts lined up and I'll do my damndest to keep 50/50 Friday but my life has turned upside within just a few days. Water damage all in our apartment... my daughter is sick and now we might have to move into a place I hate. Needless to say my mental health isn't doing so well during this time.  So the planned posts and 50/50 Friday will be all that I post for a while. Hope you guys enjoy your holidays!
