Music Monday - The 90's (5)

This meme is hosted over at Always Me

Guess who's back? Back again? Oh wait, wrong decade. My bad. Anyway, here is another 90's Music Monday. I think I'm going to jump into another decade in a wee bit. This time I'm only going to share one song but this song is very important and I love the message.

Lyrics

I took my baby on a Saturday bang
Boy is that girl with you
Yes we're one and the same
Now I believe in miracles
And a miracle has happened tonight
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
They print my message in the Saturday Sun
I had to tell them I ain't second to none
And I told about equality and it's true
Either you're wrong or you're right
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
I am tired of this devil
I am tired of this stuff
I am tired of this business
Sew when the going gets rough
I ain't scared of your brother
I ain'ts scared of no sheets
I ain't scared of nobody
Girl when the goin' gets mean
Protection
For gangs, clubs, and nations
Causing grief in human relations
It's a turf war on a global scale
I'd rather hear both sides of the tale
See, it's not about races
Just places
Faces
Where your blood comes from
Is were your space is
I've seen the bright get duller
I'm not going to spend my life being a color
Don't tell me you agree with me
When I saw you kicking dirt in my eye
But, if you're thinkin' about my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
I said if you're thinkin' of being my baby
It don't matter if you're black or white
I said if you're thinkin' of being my brother
It don't matter if you're black or white
Ooh, ooh
Yea, yea, yea now
Ooh, ooh
Yea, yea, yea now
It's black, it's white
It's tough for them to get by
It's black, it's white,

Blog Update

It's been over two years since I did an update post. The last one was when I was trying to get 50/50 Friday off the ground and Laura from Blue Eye Books was so freaking sweet and decided to co-host with me. The meme would not be here without her. I am terrible at coming up with topics, completely terrible! But moving on, 50/50 Friday is not why I'm writing this. 50/50 Friday is going nowhere. I love this meme and will continue it as long as possible.

In case you haven't noticed, I've been messing with my blog a lot. I got tired of the blue and black and even though I love the color black, I wanted something different, something more colorful. So pink and white it is. I've been working on trying new formats and coming up with new post ideas. I also finally bit the bullet and bought my own domain, thebutterflyreader (DOT) com. You can still use my old blogspot if that's what you're used to, it will redirect. Now while all this is going on, I do hope that you'll look over any 404 errors you get as I'm working through any bugs and kinks.

Last week was my birthday (4/25) so I'm now another year older and not any wiser. Sadly.

Next, I want to move into writing. I've been writing more lately and wanted to start sharing some of that. Most of what I write is the kind of stuff I read. So if you're into that then check out my Wattpad. Right now I only have a horror short story that my partner wanted me to write but I am planning to release something in the month of May! So stay tuned! If you want to read the horror short story then check it out below.

I'm also in the query trenches for a novel I wrote last year and have edited so heavily it's not even funny. Crossing my fingers that something good comes from it. There are a few things going on that I can't share yet but I will in the future. So for now, that's pretty much it. Thanks for reading this. I hope you all have a great Sunday!

ME!

There are few pop artists that I enjoy these days but Taylor Swift is one of them and when she teamed up with Brendon Urie, I knew this was going to be epic. I was right. If you've not heard this song yet... what are you doing with your life?

In case the video gets removed, I'll share this lyric video too. Let me know what you think of this song! I'm freaking obsessed.

50/50 Friday - Best/Worst Read of April

50/50 Friday is hosted here and over at Blue Eye Books

What is 50/50 Friday?
Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. So that's what 50/50 Friday is all about. We will have a new topic every Friday. If you have have ideas for this meme don't be scared to let me know!

Topic for the Week
Best/Worst Read of April

This month so many things happened. I got the best news of my entire life, read around seven books, won Camp NaNoWriMo and even started something secret that might be coming soon! But besides that for the month of April, I have a VERY clear best and worst read. Let's talk about them.

Worst Read
I'm not sure if I'll put the review on my blog as it's explicit but this book just grossed me out. It's a DNF and for now, I'll just link to my Goodreads review. You've been warned if you decide to read it.

Best Read
(Review Coming Soon!)
I was blown away by this book! I loved every single page. It's great. READ IT!

The Netflix Book Tag

I've been seeing this floating around on different blogs and I finally cracked and decided to do it on my own because it looked fun! Plus, I love Netflix, so it fits. Let's just jump into this!

1) Recently Watched
The last book you finished reading

This is number eight in a long running series, I'm slowly working my way through it and loving every single second of it. If you're looking for a great diverse adult paranormal romance, than this is for you!
_______________________________________________

2) Top Picks
A book that has been recommended to you based on books you've previously read

I don't get recommend books a lot and if I do, they are usually ones that I have no interest in reading but Wren from For The Love Of Books (check out their blog if you haven't. They review a lot of great stuff. Love you Wren!) told me about Nevermore and I knew it was going to be good because we have similar tastes. They were not wrong! It's freaking great!

_______________________________________________

3) Recently Added
The last book you bought

I've not bought a lot of books recently.... really I've been selling a lot of them over the last year for money reasons, so now I'm slowly rebuying the ones I sold well over a year ago. I got this one for only $2 at HPB.

___________________________________________________________

4) Popular on Netflix
Books that everyone knows about (2 you've read and 2 you have no interest in reading)

Well, this is pretty easy two that I've read: Throne of Glass and Harry Potter. Two I have no interest in reading... this one is a little harder.  I would say On the Come Up and the Dark Artifices series. I'm just over the whole Shadowhunter stuff. I mean it's just the same old at this point...

________________________________________________________

5) Comedies
A funny book

I don't read a lot of funny books... or really any at all. My partner would tell you it's because I have no sense of humor but I'm just not that into comedy. There is one that I got in an OwlCrate box years that I will share.

__________________________________________________________

6) Dramas
A character who is a drama queen/king

Lola from Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen sure fits the bill here!

____________________________________________________________

7) Animated
A book with cartoons on the cover

I still need to read this series, maybe I will get around to it if I can ever buy them again because surprisingly, my local library doesn't carry them.

__________________________________________________

8) Watch It Again
A book/book series that you want to re-read

I've been planning a reread of this series before I finally finish it so it fits perfectly here!

_____________________________________________________

9) Documentaries
A non-fiction book you'd recommend to everyone

I don't really read a lot of non-fiction that isn't related to Paganism, witchcraft or the like and I'd never recommend those to everyone so... next question!
_______________________________________________

10. Action and Adventure
An action packed book

This one is super easy. This book is full of action and it only ramps up in the rest of the series!

_________________________________________________

11. New Releases
A book that just came out or will be coming out soon that you can't wait to read

There are so freaking many! How am I to choose just one?! Seriously how?! I can choose one that just came out because it's still sitting on my bookshelf...

____________________________________________________

I'm not going to tag anyone because I don't know who's done this or who doesn't want to do this. If you want to do it, then I tag you! If you go this tag, leave your link below because I'd love to see your answers. Well, that's it for this one. I hope you have a great day and happy reading!

Review - Again, but Better by Christine Riccio

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

From one of the most followed booktubers today, comes Again, but Better, a story about second chances, discovering yourself, and being brave enough to try again.

Shane has been doing college all wrong. Pre-med, stellar grades, and happy parents…sounds ideal—but Shane's made zero friends, goes home every weekend, and romance…what’s that?

Her life has been dorm, dining hall, class, repeat. Time's a ticking, and she needs a change—there's nothing like moving to a new country to really mix things up. Shane signs up for a semester abroad in London. She's going to right all her college mistakes: make friends, pursue boys, and find adventure!

Easier said than done. She is soon faced with the complicated realities of living outside her bubble, and when self-doubt sneaks in, her new life starts to fall apart.

Shane comes to find that, with the right amount of courage and determination one can conquer anything. Throw in some fate and a touch of magic—the possibilities are endless.

Book Breakdown

I received this novel for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not effect my opinion of the book.

Self-insert. If you wrote stories as a child or even certain kinds of fanfiction (I admit I totally wrote a few self-insert fanfiction as a young teen), you probably wrote a few self-insert plots and there's nothing wrong with that! You were having a grand old time just writing. But when a grown adult does it for a story they are actually getting published.... I don't know, it's cringy. I'm sorry, it's also a very... 'newbie' writer move or maybe lazy in the creativity department because you don't want to create a new character and get to the know them before writing... I don't really know how to put this the nicest way and for that I'm sorry but I just don't like self-insert in stories like this.

Now, I have seen the author's channel on Youtube, I used to love watching Booktube years ago. So, when little things started to pop up, like HP references in the first few pages and the we got to Lost, The Beatles.... Anything written by Cassandra Clare. Shane loved to write and read. Shane is Christine. They even look alike. Not to mention the whole blog name stuff. I cringed so damn hard when reading this and then rolled my eyes.

This book has brought up a whole topic in my mind about getting a book deal just because you're famous and will pull in the cash but we won't get into here. Now, I do want to say that I've got nothing against the author, I don't even know her so...

The writing was different.... kinda of blocky (?) but at least it was unique I guess...? It didn't flow as well as it could've with some extra editing. It will make you laugh and it does have a lot of heart. That is one good thing about self-insert books, you can feel that the author poured herself into this book (pun intended) and that it means a lot to her. Shane isn't a bad character she's just the author and if you like the author then you're going to love Shane. If you like the idea of an actual YA novel set during college instead of an NA then you're going to love this book. If you like the same things that the author likes then again, you'll love this book.

It's just not my cup of tea, I really don't like self-insert books.

Music Monday - The 90's (4)

This meme is hosted at Always Me

This is the fourth installment of what I have named the Throw Back Series. I've been enjoying going back so much and even found some cool music that I didn't know existed, which is always fun! Anyway, let's just into it!

Now I've said before that I grew up in a very strict religion (SDA) so I listened to a lot of Christian music until I smart enough to use the computer to find other things.... this is one that I still actually like and doesn't make me cringe and bring back horrible memories.

Favorite Lyrics

I'm diving in, I'm going deep, in over my head I want to be
Caught in the rush, lost in the flow, in over my head I want to go
The river's deep, the river's wide, the river's water is alive
So sink or swim, I'm diving in

Favorite Lyrics

I need time to move on
I need a love to feel strong
Cause I've got time to think it through
And maybe I'm too good for you

I won't lie, I totally thought of this one with a certain character in mind. I couldn't help it, he just fits this one so freaking perfect for him. Can you guess who I'm thinking of?

Character Most Likely tp Laugh at an Inappropriate Time
Jace. I feel I don't even need to explain this one. If you've read The Mortal Instruments then you know.

Character Least Likely to Laugh at an Inappropriate Time
Mr Darcy would never do something like that! So he can go here.

Thursday's Discussion - Long Book Series

Why Long Book Series Are Better

*Disclaimer*
Everyone has different opinions, we are all unique with different likes and dislikes. This is not meant to offend or put down anyone's taste. If you prefer a good standalone or shorter series, that's totally fine and dandy! This is just my personal preference. Let's get to it!

Character Development Matters
I'm a huge character driven reader. I care more about characters than anything else. I can have amazing fleshed out characters and kind of meh world building and still enjoy the book so freaking much. So with a longer series, I get to spend more time with these characters that I have fallen in love with and never want to part form.

I'm Not Good at Saying Goodbye
I am so bad when it comes to saying goodbye to a series that I love. Take Twilight for example, back when I was first reading that series in 2008, I actually stopped reading a few chapters from the end because I couldn't handle saying goodbye. It was YEARS later when I finally read the very end. With longer series, I can get more and not have to worry about that awful goodbye.

World Building - The Bigger the Better
Well, the world doesn't have to be huge but more details can be added. So, yes, I did say that characters matter most to me but with more books means a richer world, a world so vivid that it feels like it's real. Like Harry Potter, that world is so amazingly detailed that to this day, people still fawn over it.

Anticipation - The Christmas Morning Effect
Unless you're a George R. R. Martin fan, you can look forward to having a new book every year. Nothing beats that feeling of finally waiting soooo long for the next book in your favorite series and then finally holding it in your hands. NOTHING!

Smitten by the Brit by Melonie Johnson - ARC Review

DEFINITELY, MAYBE...OR LOVE, ACTUALLY?

English professor Bonnie Blythe expects her life to play out like her favorite novels, especially now that her long-term boyfriend has finally proposed. So when a shocking discovery leads Bonnie to end her engagement, she decides to close the book on love. But the plot thickens when a brand-new character enters the scene—and quickens Bonnie's heart.

With his brilliant blue eyes, sexy accent, and irresistible charm, Theo Wharton is like a romantic hero straight out of a Jane Austen novel. When fate places Bonnie in England for a summer—conveniently close to Theo—she realizes a hot friends-with-benefits fling is exactly what she needs to start a fresh chapter. Just as Bonnie begins to believe she's falling in love, an eye-opening revelation into Theo's life makes Bonnie feel like she's wandered into one of her favorite books. Will Bonnie have the courage to risk her heart and turn the page with the dashing Brit to find her true happy ending after all?

Book Breakdown

*Thanks to NetGalley for this title*

So first off, I want to praise that cover because it was so nice to see a cover that actually fits what the characters look like! I'm tired of the people on the cover not looking a thing like what the book describes. So yay for that!

Bonnie has her whole life planned out, career, guy, how many kids, dance lessons and all that jazz. Though something goes very wrong when her man cheats on her. Her life is never going to be what she pictured and now all the stuff she pushed back while waiting for him to finish school.... well, she can do all that now. But there is someone who she can't seem to let go of... this sexy Brit she met last year. Will she decide to let him into her life?

Okay, this book for the most part was really cute. The characters were fun, and for the most of it, felt pretty real. There were a few scenes that we are going to talk about that really just bug the crap out of me but first to the good stuff. Theo is a golden gem, sweet, kind, and ready to give his whole life over to be the hero and save his family. Bonnie is a really great catch as well, she's smart, funny, and a bang up friend. If you're looking for a cute romance novel, then I really do like you'll like this one.

Now onto the stuff that just had me laughing and rolling my eyes, the group of girls in this novel are around 30. Our main girl has been sexually active since she was 18. Yet, she had to have her friend tell her how to give a blowjob. Not only that, she ran out of the room from Theo after she thought she messed up. Just left him there.... it seemed so stupid when they both could have talked it over. Instead, she runs off and he lets her. That's not how grown adults should act in this situation. That's more like teenagers. I mean I hate when a plot does that kind of thing when talking could fix everything. There was also the fact that she kept calling him a chauvinist in the beginning when he was just being nice. It really rubbed me the wrong way, I'm glad it was only in the beginning and things got better as it went.

This novel is not without it's problems but they are really my personal taste. Not everyone will have these problems, so don't let it stop you if you want to read this. Because the good out-weights the icky parts.

Review - Journeying Between the Worlds by Eagle Skyfire

Journeying Between the Worlds shares Native American shamanic teachings in a way that is easily understood by people from any culture. This book is filled with practices that will open the door to dynamic, ever evolving relationships with the Great Spirit, your sacred Self, and your Ancestors. With simple exercises that help you build your skills and knowledge, this powerful guide teaches lessons based on Native American spiritual concepts, including shamanic journeying, the Medicine Wheel, dreams and visions, symbols, power animals, the elements, shamanic tools, the three realms, and much more. Written for beginner and intermediate shamanic practitioners, Journeying Between the Worlds shows you how to use shamanism to make sacred connections with the natural world, divine beings, and your own soul.

Book Breakdown

My Rating: 4.5 of 5 Pink Sticky Stars

This was given to me for free in exchange for an honest review.

I knew quite a bit about journeying before I read this novel but I did like that the things I knew were expanded upon and given to me in more detail. I loved learning all about shamanic teachings. My great-grandmother was a Native American and died long before I could learn more from her so I suck up things like this because it makes me feel closer to her. I love learning anything about Native culture and their religion. That was the main reason I wanted this book and it didn't disappoint. Even if you plan to never put any of this into practice, you will still learn a lot and even from the viewpoint of different Native traditions.

The writing is nice, gives details without feeling like it's just listing things to do. I loved the little stories she gave beforehand of her own experiences even when she failed sometimes and had to work harder. I like that because journeying can be hard to get started and even to keep it up so I liked those added parts.

Overall, this is a great book for beginners and even if you already know a wee bit as I did. You'll still learn something new, I promise. It's worth it!

Topic for the Week
Character Most/Least Likely to Make a Personal Sacrifice

This one is going to be pretty dang easy and I'm going to stay in the same series to make it harder on myself. So I decided to go with the ACOTAR series. With that being said, let's just jump into it!

Character Most Likely to Make a Personal Sacrifice
Rhysand. He's given up a lot for his friends and subjects.

Side note: While I was looking for a good picture for Rhysand, I found this guy... Toni Mahfud and my mind was blown with how much he looks like how I see Rhys in my mind. I mean... am I right or what?

Character Least Likely to Make a Personal Sacrifice
Amarantha because she only cares about what she wants and herself. She'd never give up anything for anyone.

Kiss Collector - Review

When seventeen-year-old Zae Monroe gets cheated on by the only guy she’s ever loved, then watches her parents' marriage crumble, she decides to forget about relationships and turn the tables on the boys of the world. It’s time to take what she wants, and what she wants are kisses. Athletes, musicians, poets, and bad boys—their lips are all on her agenda, and it's time to collect.

Zae proposes a contest with her friends to see who can kiss the most boys during spring break. But what starts as a harmless competition leads to a downward spiral she can’t seem to break free of. As family, academic, friend, and guy drama come to a head, Zae is forced to face the reasons behind her boy angst, and starts to wonder if she was wrong about the male race...or at least some of them.

Book Breakdown

Finally! A freaking book that looks down on drugs. I was so nervous when right off the bat, we get to talking about weed and drinking. I love Wendy Higgins but I do have my three strikes rule and I was scared that was where this was going. But no! It's all looked down on by our MC and I loved that so much. I can't even say how great this was. I'm so tired of drinking, drugs, smoking and the like being seen as something that's okay and in some cases being praised in YA books. I don't know when that happened but I hate it. Now, drinking in this novel isn't really looked down upon... even the MC's mum didn't really care that she got drunk. She grounded her for two weeks and that was it... they didn't really talk about it. So it's not perfect but it's so many steps above other things I've read and it makes me so damn happy. Thank you Wendy!!!

Now, onto the actual story. This was a cute novel that actually left me feeling so freaking happy and light at the end. It was utterly perfect. We follow Zae right after she catches her boyfriend cheating on her. I love how she handles it, she's a very strong young lady. Once she finds out that her father cheated on her mum, she loses all hope in guys and decides to treat them the way that she thinks all guys look at girls. I love the lesson learned in this novel, the friendships that Zae has with her awesome friend group and even the good boys in this novel that prove to Zae that not every single guy is a pig and there are good ones out there. It shows Zae coming to terms with her parents and accepting change because things change. Life changes.

I do love how Wendy captured a teenager perspective so well. Zae felt like such a teenager in her actions and how she handled the way her parents were. Also when her mum was crying but she just left her alone instead of going in there to make sure she was okay, total teenager move! So I that was something I know lots of people will enjoy and connect to.

Overall, a cute little coming of age story with a nice romance that I read as quickly as I could. Such a fun time.

Music Monday - The 90's (2)

This meme is hosted over at Always Me

Another 90's edition because the 90's had a lot of great songs. It's weird to think that in less than a year I can be doing this for the 2010s. God, time flies.

Book Blogger Hop - Which Fictional Character Would You Like To Be?

This meme is hosted over at Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer

Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

Question for the Week
If you could take the place of any fictional character, who would it be and why?

Geez, this one is hard and probably not going to win me any blogger points because who I'm choosing has fallen out of fashion and now deemed problematic but still, once I lay out the reasons for my choice. I think you'll agree.

My Choice - Bella Swan

1) She's never had a hard life. Never really had to deal with anything dark or scary. Never had to know what it was like to go hungry or go without electricity  All in all, a pretty easy life.

2) Her in-laws love her. Not all in-laws get along with who their child has chosen to marry but they love her.

3) She's never ever going to worry about money. Ever. The Cullens are loaded.

4) She never had to sacrifice anything and never will. Her whole life is perfect.

5) The guy she loved, loved her back. That doesn't always happen in real life.

6) She's got a really cool power to protect those she loves.

7) She honestly got everything she ever wanted. A child, a guy who loves her. She got to keep her father in her life. Her vampire family stayed safe and sound. I mean, no downside at all! Who wouldn't want to be Bella?!

8) She also gets to live forever!!!

Review - Jaws of the Wolf by Charlotte Jardine

He’s her father’s slave. She’s promised to another. But war changes everything.

Tervingi Territory, 376 AD. Gelvira dreams of becoming a powerful jeweler. But the arrogant son of a tribal elder wants her for a wife instead. After a Hun raid sends her people into exile, her chance to master the ancient secrets of her craft are stripped away…

Adafuns yearns to become a great warrior and win Gelvira’s affection. But as a slave in her father’s service, he has little chance of either. Captured and carried off by the Huns, Adafuns’ dream of being a warrior could come true… at the cost of losing Gelvira forever.

With her people starving, marrying the tribal elder’s spoiled son may be Gelvira’s only hope to save her family. Will Adafuns reunite with the exiles in time to free Gelvira from her loathsome vows?

Jaws of the Wolf is the exciting first novel in the epic Visigoth Chronicles series of YA adventures. If you like strong heroines, thrilling action, and rich historical detail, you’ll love Charlotte Jardine’s page-turning saga.

Book Breakdown

I received this novel in exchange for an honest review. In no way does this effect my opinion of the story itself.

Gelvira just wants to make jewelry, not be a wife that just cooks and cleans but her family has other ideas for her... but when the Huns attack, things change. She ends up in a place she never thought she'd be. Gelvira is an alright character but she's rather self centered, which I guess makes sense considering how she was raised but it doesn't make her likable.

Adafuns is a slave that dreams of being a warrior and getting Gelvira as his own. He's a very determined young fellow with a sweet heart. I loved watching his growth with the Huns and how he finds himself.

Now, I want to start this off by saying that this isn't a bad book, just not a book for me. I thought there would be more romance but our couple is only together for like the first 10% of the book and for for me, that's not cutting it. Now, the writing is great, the story is pretty action packed and will keep your attention. I love the fact that's set in in this time frame (376 AD). I wish more books would do that. Yes, there are salves in this story, so you've been warned.

50/50 Friday - Favorite/Least Favorite Game Thrones Character

What is 50/50 Friday?
Everyone has a favorite and then we also have something we dislike. Like a coin, there are two sides to every question. Example: best sequel you've read/worst sequel you've read. So that's what 50/50 Friday is all about. We will have a new topic every Friday. If you have have ideas for this meme don't be scared to let me know!

Topic for the Week
Favorite/Least Favorite Game Thrones Character

This is one that I've seen that can get people yelling at each other in anger. It's just a simple question, so if you don't agree with my choices, that's fine! We can each have our own opinion and that's fine and dandy.

Least Favorite
Sansa Stark
Yeah..... I know lots of people love her but I just think she's a spoiled brat and I really hope she doesn't get the throne.

Most Favorite
The Holy Trinity
Seriously I love each and every one of them and just want the best for my babies!

March Wrap-Up!

I didn't read a lot this month but the books I did read where all pretty good. Lowest rating was three stars. So that's awesome! Now, let's just jump into it.

Tarot Reads

Tarot Elements: Five Readings to Reset Your Life
(Review)

I just love this author's voice, she makes learning fun. I feel more like I'm talking with a friend rather than reading a book.

Your Tarot Court: Read Any Deck with Confidence
(Review)

This isn't a bad book, it just wasn't for me.

Llewellyn's Little Book of Tarot
(Review)
Not going to lie, I see anything anything by Barbara Moore and I'm buying it. I love the work she does and own quite a few or her decks and cards. I also plan to get more.

Broken Beautiful Hearts
(Review)
If you like Kami Garcia's writing, then you'l love this one too.

Psy-Changeling Series

Play of Passion

This one is my favorite of the last few I've read in this series. The romance is awesome, a very will they won't they kind of thing and the plot is thickening nicely.

Declaration of Courtship

Cute and spicy short story.

Kiss of Snow
There have been two books that I really wanted to get to in this series, one was this book and the other is one that I still haven't gotten to read yet but I'm getting closer! It did not disappoint! I love Hawke and have been wanting to see him happy since the very first time he came into the picture. I also love Sienna and I thikn they work really good together. I'm not a fan of age gap relationships, never have been, probably never will be but this one wasn't too bad. Or I should say, I was able to look over it because Nalini Singh just sold me on it.

The plot ramps up in this one, finally the war that has been talked about for so damn long happens and some other really nifty stuff too. I enjoyed this one so much.

Romance Reads

Smitten by the Brit
(Review Coming Soon)
I don't want to give much away but I will say that I am so happy that the people on the cover match the description of the characters.

99 Percent Mine
(Review)
Did this live up the hype after The Hating Game? Read my review to find out. *Wink*

Magical Creature Reads

Unicorns: The Myths, Legends, & Lore

If you love unicorns as much as I do, this book is for you!

Mermaids: The Myths, Legends, and Lore

Do you love mermaids? If yes, this book is for you! Just like the title says, it has all kinds of really cool info on the lovely creatures that swim in dark depths of the sea. From the history of where they first came into being all the way up to now. It's pretty freaking cool.
