Music Monday - Yuri

Music Monday is hosted at Always Me Well, this has been a week. My partner and I took the little kiddo to her specialist on Friday. Thursday, I had to get up in front of my class and give a presentation for my last project. I always hate having to stand up in front of everyone like that and talk about my project. I always mess up and say 'um' way too much.  But thankfully, I won't have to do that for another week or so, when the next project is due.  But enough of that! We're here to talk about music! So I'm going to showcase one of my biases from SNSD. Enjoy!  Which is your favorite? Let me know! I hope you have a great week! Stay safe and happy reading!

Music Monday - OG Nightcore

This meme is hosted at Always Me Well, it's been another week. I've been working hard in class. Not been able to read much but that's life sometimes. I've been watching shows and listening to a lot of music though. I am in the middle of The Guest List audiobook and it's great so far! The narrators are all fantastic! I've been watching Death Note for the first times in years. This anime really is the best of the best.  But we're here to talk about music! For some reason, YouTube decided to show me this old music playlist from when I was a wee little kiddo. Thought I'd share with you what weird stuff I enjoyed back then.  My favorite from that playlist has to be the song below: Dam Dadi Do. I played that thing on repeat! I loved this kind of music and rave music. Yet, I've never been to a rave or even a club. Strange. I know.  Well, that's it for this week. Which was your favorite? Do you think less of me for my crazy taste in music?

Mine Till Midnight - Book Review

Two hearts steeped in scandal . . . When an unexpected inheritance elevates her family to the ranks of the aristocracy, Amelia Hathaway discovers that tending to her younger sisters and wayward brother was easy compared to navigating the intricacies of the ton. Even more challenging: the attraction she feels for the tall, dark, and dangerously handsome Cam Rohan. Wealthy beyond most men’s dreams, Cam has tired of society’s petty restrictions and longs to return to his “uncivilized” Gypsy roots. When the delectable Amelia appeals to him for help, he intends to offer only friendship—but intentions are no match for the desire that blindsides them both. But can a man who spurns tradition be tempted into that most time-honored arrangement: marriage? Life in London society is about to get a whole lot hotter . . . Book Breakdown Cam has a diamond stud in one ear, rings on his fingers. He’s tall and dark and handsome. He’s funny, smart, and rich! Like, he’s perfect! If Amelia ever loses her mi

It's still in the 90s here every single day and I want to die, but other than the crappy weather, life isn't too bad. I've so busy with classes and life that I've not had enough time to read. This week should be a little slower, so hopefully I will get some reading done. I've got a few books that I want to get to;  Court of the Vampire Queen , These Hollow Vows , and Tempt Me at Twilight .  But today, we're here for the music! Not books! So let's get to it! Which did you like best? Let me know below! Have a great week! Stay safe and happy reading!

Music Monday - Mabel

This meme is hosted over at Always Me Well, hello! Today is Labor Day in the US, so that means I get a free day! No classes at all! Which means I plan to read the next book in the Hathaway series! I’ve read the first two and loved the first while the second was just kinda... average. So I’m hoping book three is better! I really can’t wait for book four though!  But we’re here to talk about music! YA’LL I CAN’T STRESS HOW AMAZING THIS YEAR IS FOR MUSIC! One of my favorite artists just dropped a new MV and her album comes out next month. Taylor Swift is dropping a brand new album next month! I’m so freaking excited!  Sorry, let’s back up to the glorious music that has already come out this year. That leads us to Mabel. Her second album dropped this year and I’m sharing two of my favorites. Hope you enjoy them! Which is your favorite? They both make me want to get up and dance. I really like that dance music is coming back. I wonder if lockdowns had anything to do with the reassura

August Wrap Up!

For the first time in an entire year, I have enough books to have a wrap up post! Not kidding, I went back to check and the last wrap up I had was actually from September 8, 2021. This is one of the best reading months I've had all year!  So, I wanted to share the books that I read last month. Let's go! My Review Rating: 2 Stars Spice: Off The Charts Blurb  Society darling Persephone Dimitriou plans to flee the ultra-modern city of Olympus and start over far from the backstabbing politics of the Thirteen Houses. Music Monday - Dreaming of Autumn Ambience

This meme is hosted over at Always Me I am so over summer. I hate the heat. Anytime it gets over 75, I groan. One day I hope to move up north where I can go out in summer and not instantly burn to death. Until then, every time summer gets too hot, I can't help but long for fall. Crisp mornings, leaves changing color, and apple cider.  Fun fact: the area I live in, a lot of the leaves don't fall from the trees in autumn. They go from green to brown basically overnight it seems and then in the spring the new leaves push the dead leaves from the trees. Back where I grew up, that never happened. Do any of ya'll have that?  Now, please join me in wishing it were fall.  Which season is your favorite? Don't worry, we can still be friends if you like summer. This is a safe space. But I do want to know which ambience you prefer so sound off below! I hope you have a safe week and read some good books!

Music Monday - SNSD

This meme is hosted over at Always Me ~~~ Let me address elephant in the room; my blog. I’m currently working on revamping it, but since I’m in school, it’s going to be a wee bit until it’s fixed. I’m sorry, I know it’s not in top shape right now. Please, just bear with me ~~~ Into the music! I have so many outstanding Music Mondays lined up! I can’t even tell you how excited I am to share them all with you! But we’ll take it one at a time. My favorite K-Pop group of all time actually released an album! Which is very rare considering their age and how many of them aren’t even under the same company anymore.  This album is honestly one of their best. I love pretty much every single song. I hope you’ll like at least one of these.  That’s all I got for this week. It’s another busy one for me. I’ve got so much to do between school and my kiddo has a dentist appointment this week. This whole week I’m going to be driving the struggle bus all over the town. But at least these songs

Update + Neon Gods Book Review

It’s been two weeks since I last created a post or even blog hopped. It’s been crazy busy for me and I’ve been reading a lot too. Yesterday I read a whole 500-page book in one day. I am so freaking proud of myself! I almost feel like my old self again... it’s a great feeling. Though my eyes are kinda mad at me haha. But I have missed you guys! Seeing what ya’ll are reading and getting up to. So after completely this post, I’m going around to see what I’ve missed! I started school last week. The class size is full and I’m the only one with a mask. Which scares the crap outta me because no one in my class takes it seriously. Thankfully, no one has said anything negative to me at least.  The instructor changed the entire class around, so now I have no idea what’s coming next and that has me terrified. I hate surprises and not knowing how to prepare for something. I’m just trying not to think about it and let what comes... comes.  My next two weeks are packed full, but early September will

Bookish: Would You Rather? + Recommendations

I saw this on the blog Addicted to Romance . A great blog and I fully recommend checking it out! She reads so much and it blows me away. Her reading skills are no joke! Plus, she has great taste! If you like romance, her blog is one to follow!  How I'm going to do this is choose between the two choices and then recommend a book with my chosen answer. Please feel free to play along in the comments! Now, let's go!  Alpha Male or Cinnamon Roll Hero? This one usually depends on my mood or the time period. I love alpha males in paranormal and historical romance but I don't like them in contemporary romance. But if I have to choose... Alpha Male wins!  Second Chance or Insta Lust? This is hilarious to me as I don't usually like either of these really but I really can't vibe with insta-lust. You could call me a slow burn fanatic and since insta-anything is the opposite of that... you get it. Now, I want to share a favorite second chance of mine!  MMF or Reverse Harem? Geez

Thicker Than Water - Audible Original Review

From the hero whistleblower of the infamous Theranos scam, Thicker than Water is a look at never-before-revealed details behind closed doors at the company, revealing a cautionary tale of corporate bullying, gaslighting, ego, and wealth run amok in Silicon Valley. Tyler Shultz had been in the workforce for less than a year when he emailed Elizabeth Holmes, his employer and the CEO and founder of Theranos, with concerns that the company’s lab practices were faulty, ignored quality control, and were potentially dangerous to patients. The COO fired back with a dismissive and insulting email, to which Tyler replied: "Consider this my two weeks’ notice." From there, his life spun out of control at the hand of Elizabeth, her team of high-powered lawyers, and the patriarch of Tyler’s own family, George Shultz—one of America’s most prominent statesmen, who sat among the top of the Theranos Board of Directors. And yet, Tyler forged on. To protect his own conscience, the honor and repu

Music Monday - Beyoncé

This meme is hosted over at Always Me I don’t know about you, but I am so freaking hyped for all the glorious music coming out recently! Besides Beyoncé releasing a freaking dance album, I’ve got so much to share with you over the coming weeks!  But we’re going to start with Beyoncé. I will say that while I don’t like the entire album but the songs that I love on this album are nothing short of perfection! These two are my favorites from the album.  I honestly love that she released a fun album because I don’t know about you, but the past few years have been so hard and it’s nice to just lose yourself in the groove and escape for a little while.  I hope these songs can do that for you. Also, just a warning, these are explicit songs. If that’s not your thing, then it’s cool if you don’t want to listen.  This is my last week before I head back to school. I’m nervous because it’s the same instructor, and he’s not the best, but also glad because the chick that was driving me insane

The Romance Recipe - Sapphic Book Review

A fiery restaurant owner falls for her enigmatic head chef in this charming, emotional romance Amy Chambers: restaurant owner, micromanager, control freak. Amy will do anything to revive her ailing restaurant, including hiring a former reality-show finalist with good connections and a lot to prove. But her hopes that Sophie’s skills and celebrity status would bring her restaurant back from the brink of failure are beginning to wane… Sophie Brunet: grump in the kitchen/sunshine in the streets, took thirty years to figure out she was queer. Sophie just wants to cook. She doesn’t want to constantly post on social media for her dead-in-the-water reality TV career, she doesn’t want to deal with Amy’s take-charge personality and she doesn’t want to think about what her attraction to her boss might mean… Then, an opportunity: a new foodie TV show might provide the exposure they need. An uneasy truce is fine for starters, but making their dreams come true means making some personal and painful

Mid-Year Book Freakout Tag

I know I'm very late to this one but I wanted to toss my hat into the ring. This is gonna be a long one so let's just jump into it!  1) Best Book You've Read So Far in 2022 I couldn't choose just one. Oops! But both of these are good! Sagittarius Saves Libra was a laugh out loud funny gay romance. It left me with a smile on my face. Beauty and the Baller was so much better than I thought it was going to be. I expected just another good romance but this one blew me away. It was deeper than I thought it would be without getting too dark and it had moments that made me laugh and swoon.  2. Best Sequel You've Read So Far in 2022 Now this is a stand alone but it's the second part of the duology and so to me it fits! I've been reading more standalone novels recently but I've got a few books from the library to change that! 3) A New Release You Haven't Read But Want To There are so many here that I can't put just one! So here's a few! Are you looki
